You did a great 5.1 home setup guide 4 years ago. Can you make a new one, but with Atmos? Also compare to the Sony HT-A9 and the new Sony Bravia in terms of performance.
I like the look !
for the price, it should come with 2 subwoofers….. 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
I loved your enthusiasm in this review. It's a great indicator of just how good the speakers are
Hello Andrew I don’t know if it’s possible but will you do any reviews on a simple hifi amplifier that has hdmi and sub out without buying an av receiver please 😊I think this seems to be the populace in the uk I can only think of the wiim amp nothing else
I had the Emotiva BasX-A3 and it was terrible, not musical, couldn't hit the high notes.
I love AMT tweeter speakers. I have the GoldenEar BRX, 90db sensitivity NAD C298 amp Parasound 2125v2 amp Parasound 2100 preamp Denafrips Pontus II 12th-1 dac Denafrips Iris 12th ddc Cardas Parsec RCA cable Eversolo DMP-A6 + LPS upgrade iFi Supanova power cable with active noise cancelling soure=Apple Music lossless
most bang for your buck is CD imo
I have planning to buy denon 1800 h avr with Polk es 10 and Yamaha ns p41 speakers ..and my question is how good is my configuration?
Everyone BITCHES about the weight of their amps.. LOL STOP BEING A WIMP! You want good sound Like the BEATLES said CARRY THAT WEIGHT!! No mater how well you take care of yourself high-end hearing gets worse as you get OLDER.. So spending buko bucks on audio equipment in every aspect is total FOOLISHNESS! I'm very happy with my $400 each RPA-16 class H amplifiers from ROCKVILLE.. yes the reviews were bad but I do not HEAR all sorts of DISTORTION at the crossover whatsoever! I also incorporate 4 JBL Party Box 710's. 4 PBG 18" subs and 4 RSG 15.24 towers.. Oh I forgot my late 80's PIONEER class D pro amp. with OPTIMUS logo on it.. With Infinity SM-122's with Pioneer woofer upgrades.. All for a very Low basement price!! LOL. Audio equipment does not have to be stellar in appearance or PRICE!
The newer class H amps. are the way to go for the most bang for the buck. I think class D kinda sucks no matter how much they have advanced.. Class A or Class AB really are not any better.. Class H on a newer platform is the best of all Classes.. The RAIL Catcher! REMEMBER GOOD LOOKS do NOT mean BETTER SOUND! Aesthetics mean little to me.. I like to run professional amplification for live music in my setup for my sound system.. Yes maybe ugly but FUNCTIONAL!
the most awesome review of the greatest bargain in hifi history
Great video, would love to see you do more Vintage Receiver reviews!
Budget DAC to beat ?! 800$CDN Budget?! Schiit Modi is ,,,So for you 800 $ Plus 15.5%tax is budget? Wow we do live in different worlds !
Great video!
La mejor revisión es escuchar su sonido no.sirve de nada hablar y hablar y hablar
I have been considering a pair of xt3's - and this review saddens me. I will be forced to consider something else as towers for my office/music room and would prefer a full range system without sub for simplicity sake. What do you recommend for a system that has to perform well at conversation level but also will rock out with no hint of strain?
R700 all day. I bought the XT3’s and am currently returning them. Didn’t have an issue driving them with my Emotiva TA2, but man were the highs really harsh in most music. They’re great as a pure home theater left and right channel, but were very disappointing for music.
That is probably not true, you can inject sinewave signal parallel to music playing and measure if it gets distorted or not at any frequency range...
Love the APC mentions! Josh Freese is a magician
I think your partner in crime bested you with her choices for cheap music...but you guys are awesome I love watching your content as I shop to replace 60 years of accumulated audio and video gear after a fire destroyed our home in April. Your observations about the various products you review will be a strong influence on some of what I buy.
I would buy the SVS even if it sounded below average, which from what I’ve gathered, it does not. I own their SVS SB 3000 sub and it sounds great. I would love to match that with the Titan one day. I’ve saved $94 towards that so far…so gofundme 🤠
Shaggy Andrew.
What are these big speakers?
The same reliability issues that plagued early blue Rays seem to be now plaguing ultra-high definition blu-ray players regardless of who you buy them from.
Samsung 990D vs Yamaha X50A sets. Which would be better ? In terms of movie immersion and Lady vocal Sound?
wow! so you can't even run these speakers with bas-x amps?
I own this amp and it sounds wonderful. But yea. Had I known of the new product coming at the end is summer,I would have waited
For strictly dialogue clarity, would you recommend the Bose ultra soundbar or the Samsung q990c?
You promised to review it again and make your top 5 AV reciver I can guess since I enjoy watching your videos since 2018 on Yamaha RX A380 that's Wen I started watching your KZread channel and I keep going back and watch again and again ❤ 5. Onkyo rz 700 4. Yamaha a8a 3. integra 8.2 or .4 flagship. 2.marantz cinema 30. 1. Soney E z 700. Am waiting for that top 5 video 📷 📸 Sir 🙏
Im very pleased with my Yamaha 2071 for 500 $. Good enogh for me. It fills up my 77 m3 room with superb sound.
Note: Although my question below is still interesting, I see that the Audiolab 7000A it's not Wi-Fi enabled so that removes it from consideration. For the Klipsch you recommend the Yamaha N2000A and Audiolab 7000A, but in your review of the Yamaha, the second opinion mentions that she prefers the Audiolab because the vocals are more forward and present (and you seem to imply that is because it is not as good an amplifier). Since you both agree that that presence on vocals is a feature of the Klipsch also, which integrated amp, the Yamaha or the Audilab, best works with the Klipsch for vocals, especially female vocals?
Yet, another impressively professional review👏👏👏
Since the C97 II is very rare and hard to find like you pointed out, would you recommend the C95 or even C93 over these Jamo S809? saw some people selling used.
Great video; technological advancements as you say, means that something costing 500USD can sound as good as something that cost 2000USD 10 or 20 year ago.
I bought the HT-A9's from you and now you're telling me there is something better and laughing about it 👺
@Andrew Robinson I’m having a hard time deciding between Denon A1H vs Marantz AV10/AMP 10 combo. I prefer a less fatiguing sound signature yet dynamic and impactful one. Do you think Denon can provide 95% of the performance of Marantz without sounding bright / fatiguing? Also does Denon have a tighter and better bass performance than Marantz? Would love to hear your thoughts so it will be super helpful for me to decide. Thanks in advance!
Andrew the Kenwood ka 7100 Integrated àmp
The best LOUD speakers are used in live sound applications.. Most are pretty cheap with no big deal crossovers.. I prefer Class H amplification with a LOUD-speaker that is designed for LIVE SOUND! IN YOUR HOME! My sound system does not have to have an artsy, fartsy, look to compliment my love seat!
On the fence between this receiver and the Onkyo TX-NR5100, which would you recommend?
Seriously, just get a mcintosh at this price...
Maybe I will 😉
Technology and media formats move faster than we realize. CDs were my teen years and the grunge scene cemented my love for music. It was such a dramatic leap forward from cassettes and Vinyl. And then Napster MP3s happened which were only 5mb at the time. The mp3 quality was fair enough but now I had access to the world's catalog without any scratched up media skipping parts of the song. The beauty of vinyl and tape was the intent and purpose to listen as part of a ritual which forced artists to make better albums.
This system is optimized for the Sony Bravia 9 with it's internal speakers. That would be the center speaker worth reviewing.
Ok my issue with a lot of reviews on the 990c is how come nobody is mentioning how weak the Sub woofer is on this system? I just got this and can say the soundbar itself mainly is what’s carrying this system which it does extremely well don’t get me wrong, but after listening to this and my Vizio M elevate 5.1.2 system I can say I might lean towards to Vizio slightly which 75% cheaper then the 990C, only problem with the Vizio is they don’t have wireless surrounds, The 990C sounds amazing too, but they really did this bar a disservice with such a weak Subwoofer
Does Atmos really sound good on top of the front speakers?? Bouncing off the ceiling
Love my A95K
All formats after the eighties are digitally sourced. The MFSL outrage was just ignorance.
Yea by 83’ things were already off the digital. By 87’ CDs were really taking over . By 90’ vinyl was gone entirely
Thank you for helping me decide between the Sevens or the Nines. I'm new to the Hi-Fi stuff. Just ordered the Sevens! Cheers.
Do you think that a cheaper around $300 receiver like Denon s570BT with 70Wx5 channels would be enough to power this system adequately?
Would you say the same of the T3+ ?
