Fight Commentary Breakdowns

Fight Commentary Breakdowns

Martial artists breaking down martial arts. My name is Jerry. You'll hear my voice the most on this channel. I practiced various styles of Kungfu and Karate as a kid. Then as an adult, I rediscovered martial arts, and it drastically improved my life. I created this channel in 2016 to remind myself to keep training and keep learning. I currently train in Muay Thai. I have trained in boxing, kickboxing, Capoeira, Aikido, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). I've also explored American Kenpo and Wing Chun. My Fight Commentary Breakdowns guests will cover the styles that I haven't trained first-hand.

This channel will provide fight commentary, news, research and humor. We will break down combat sports, MMA trends, and self-defense myths. We seek to learn what really works for the various situations in life, adding our brand of humor. We love martial arts, train often, and seek to learn more every day.

So he's allowed to kick Buakaw in the nuts multiple times which obviously violates the rules, but complains after getting knee'd once during the clinch😂

U misunderstood the scenario. This isnt how to defend yourself from a knife to ur throat its how to steal ur friends knife when he shows it to you from the back seat. Simple misunderstanding but as a 10 time bullshido world champion its become my job to clear these things up. We have a similar technique for how to get the last stick of gum from the kid in class who doesnt want to share with you too

After 10 years of training in Okinawa Karate and ancient Chinese fighting arts, I was only considered a true beginner student. Much of the teeth was pulled out of arts like Taijiquen/Tai Chi centuries ago. There is much wisdom in sparring but true fighting has no rules but to survive. A competition of limiting rules is just a competition. Many men feed egos off of competition. My interest has always been to survive and walk away. Your brain is your best weapon. Masters? They may be similar to preachers who went to Bible school and then started a church…?

These ppl are bad even by bullshido standards. What he refers to as two directional movement wouldnt work here either way but he doesnt even grasp the concept of it anyway. The idea is knocking ur opponent off balance to set up some kind of counter while in a bad position. It can actually work in the right scenario bjj and judo do alot of that type of thing but if thats what he is basing this technique off he should have pulled forward instead followed by immediately launching his whole body back in an attempt to headbutt or do some weird magical bullshido spin move something like that. It still wouldnt have worked but it would have been more in line with his logic at least. Moving backward first doesnt do anything to put the other person off balance

Wing Chun is not a complete fighting system. If i get into a fight with someone who is throwing wild punches that commit his lower part of his body then i could use wing chun to divert his momentum or add to his momentum and lead him into a wall or object. I dont feel its complete enough to go head to head with experienced boxer. as you can see, this boxer doesnt commit a lot of movement or energy from his lower body, if he misses he is still balanced and therefore has no momentum to manipulate.

Grandpa started off well. He worked angles better than expected. His legs had too much mileage and his evasion was just getting too slow and started to lack level changes. Dunno if he could do much better without conditioning. I give him full respect for staying there. PR guy also gets respect for not going too hard on the senior.

If this is at the grapplers gym, why is there a ring set up, and why does it say “boxing” in the centre. Also, why is the boxer barefooted in a ring? Why does the boxer not keep the Judoka on the “END” of his punches? Why isn’t the boxer establishing a jab and throwing combinations? This video is faker than Howard Sterns wig.

Trained with Victor Matveev just for one day whilst in Russia, he is a legit martial artist! However I am absolutely not saying all of what he does is practical for a real fight. He has legit skills and you can tell he has trained. Whilst I was there it was summer and really warm in his training room and the smell of flatulence was horrific, Victor kept doing flatulence throughout the training and smirked and laughed about it as he could see me grimacing having to endure such fierce smells. During a break for lunch I asked a long term student of his what is the deal with the flatulence and why he keeps doing it, he said it was down to Victor's diet and he breaks wind all the time during training but that outside it was tolerable but inside hard to endure but you just have to accept it if you want to learn.

These people make combat sport a bad name. They should know when to interfere and when to end the fight, regardless what the fighters might say afterwards. It for their own safety. I mean the tai chi master is not a trained full contact fighter and he's not young anymore
