@@lyndenblades I was going to nag you but I am giving you a break! LOL. Thing is the app has been around for at least 10 years. There are several real clunky, junky tutorials on youtube but I am surprised they missed the boat on it. Do they assume I have ESP to figure out the quirks? If you COULD do several videos on it SLOWLY explaining it all, that would be great. I will noodle around a bit on them but would appreciate guidance from someone "that has been there". Still trying to wake up, just 730 am on the east coast!!

The sax is slightly sharp, never have mouthpiece pushed all the way with no cork showing. Get a real KORG tuner, I play a Mark 6 and a Meyer 7MM for 50 years now, and the mouthpiece sits on the cork exactly half way for A=440

Oops I forgot to ask one more thing.. I thought the minor chords aims to the natural minor scale. And I thought that you flat 3,6and 7 from the major scale🤔 To get the minor? In the video you explained it is just 3 and 7🤔 Best regards Jimmy 😊

first track is concert F minor, so, on alto, you are in D minor, Here is D dorian, ( raised 6th scale degree) D E F G A B C D now here is D Aeolian, it has a flat 6 scale degree. D E F G A Bb C D, Now here is 1 3 5 7 9 in D minor... D F A C E

@@jimmygraf hi Jimmy, C-7 only tells you about the 1st, 3rd 5th and 7th chord tones, where the third and 7th have been flattened. It doesn’t tell you about the 6th so C-7 could be the Dorian or the Relative minor (Aeolian) as both scales have the same root, 3rd, 5th and 7th. Does this make sense?

Jimmy thank you so much, that’s very kind of you to say 🤝🤝 To find a saved track, just select any genre and any pre loaded demo. Then look at the bottom and you’ll see a square with a curved arrow coming out of it. Touch this and you’ll see “open” and they’re all in there. Does this help? 🎷🎷🤝🤝😎😎

The video make realize what is missing in practice. I know circle of fourth and fifth and the chords tones in memory but lacking, backing tract, not practicing with metronome and not making the notes long. This video has thought me a lot.

Thank you Lyndon lesson is always useful and always listen whenever I have the Chance. I have been practicing the chord tones for years on my own but not with metronome except ones and more often with no long tone perhaps that's why it does sound good to me. But in your video when you play it it sounded gorgeous because you tend to use the long tone which is missing when I practicing it. I have to incorporate long tone in my next practice. Thank you so very much .

Great video Lynden! I practice my scales using the circle of fifths but recently I’ve discovered that the chord tones are more useful in improvising, with occasional diversions to go up and down the scale. So this is a really useful exercise to embed the chord tones in muscle memory.

The video make realize what is missing in practice. I know circle of fourth and fifth and the chords tones in memory but lacking, backing tract, not practicing with metronome and not making the notes long. This video has thought me a lot.

Thank you Lyndon lesson is always useful and always listen whenever I have the Chance. I have been practicing the chord tones for years on my own but not with metronome except ones and more often with no long tone perhaps that's why it does sound good to me. But in your video when you play it it sounded gorgeous because you tend to use the long tone which is missing when I practicing it. I have to incorporate long tone in my next practice. Thank you so very much .

Great video Lynden! I practice my scales using the circle of fifths but recently I’ve discovered that the chord tones are more useful in improvising, with occasional diversions to go up and down the scale. So this is a really useful exercise to embed the chord tones in muscle memory.
