I had my ACL surgery 5 days ago. The pain is excruciating. Even with opiates. I can't sleep. The medial side of my knee feels like someone is stabbing a knife in it. I've broken other bones, had other surgeries, and nothing compares.

Does the exercises cause pain and inflammation on their own and how do you avoid the inflammation or soothe it? I have physical therapy on Tuesday and am so nervous to start doing anything to it. They told me I couldn't even take off my brace except to shower until they take it off next Thursday about 10 days after surgery! Is that normal and are you still sleeping with your brace on? I kind of do want to have more range of motion but i am scared I will have my knee give way or something!! I think it's just my own fear but getting past the pain to doing physical therapy even when on pain pills will be the hardest thing for me!!

Just had mine done like 4 days ago. 2nd day is the worst just because the meds wore off, I almost cried cus of just how debilitating the the surgery. PT is the absolute best after that as at least for me I was able to regain A LOT of mobility and independence for my treatment.

Same predicament. Tore my ACL 4 years ago, didn't have surgery because I didn't have medical insurance coverage either, then continued rehabbing and eventually started playing basketball again. Eventually re-twisted the same knee again a month ago and had my surgery last week. Can't wait to get back to full strength

Most people think they're so smart and can detect fake photos all over the place. Yet they follow people who uploads fake photos all the time and they buy it. That Iranian Hulk guy faked being Hulk size and he fooled everybody, even the so called photo experts. They all bought it. Not that they will ever admit it.

My PT told me don’t leg lift the first few weeks and only after you are certain you have quad control. Otherwise you possibly damage new graft .

Hi. I have the same situation. I have a complete rupture of my ACL. But. The 1st surgeon tells me not to do surgery. To just live in a brace. But. I don't understand rehabbing twice. Because it sounds like it will eventually have to be done. What would you suggest? Surgery now or wait as long as I can? Thanks in advance for any advice you have!

I had an accident where our effect my whole right leg and slipped on my front porch. Fractured the fibula bone and severe sprain in the ankle but now my knee is showing signs of injury, I heard a few pops when I fell and the knees popping, buckling, and just can't straighten out. I'm worried I tore the acl or meniscus or both. Im having a ct arthrogram done tomorrow to find of what it is and whether I'll need surgery or physical therapy

To anybody having the surgery... yes it hurts after, but it’s not as bad as these people are saying. If all you’re seeing are these “worst pain of my life” comments, take them with a grain of salt! It hurts for a week or so and not so bad with pain meds. I stopped taking the pain meds after four days and went to Tylenol. 2 weeks in and no pain. Keep it up!
