Small Bikes are our passion, but what exactly is a Small Bike? Is it based on physical size? Engine Capacity? Well, for us it’s based on a feeling. ‘Small’ in this case can be a reference to the knowledge of a particular bike around the world, it can mean size, it can mean engine capacity, it can mean anything you like. While we generally focus on smaller capacity bikes with large enthusiast communities; we truly appreciate all things on 2 wheels.
We aim to produce as much content as we can about the machines we love. Whether that be through written or visual media. Whenever we’re lucky enough to travel we always dedicate some time in each location to the local scene and what matters to them. Maybe one day we’ll be in your neighbourhood!
We only ask that if you like our content then do your best to share it around among like minded people! You can reach us via Facebook or Instagram.

I have a 125 beluga 4 stroke only here in America it’s badged as a Riva 125.
Yep. We get screwed
Why does it cost $500 to register a bike but $100 for a car? I don’t understand.
$20 a year where I live in Tennessee. For cars too
The length of the New Zealand can easily be handled by your moped.
I know you called it a speed light but オイル Translates to OiRu or Oil in this case. What a lovely bike. Thank you so much for showing it.
That's because road motorcycle riders are the most discriminated group in the country. Off road riders, mountain bikers, road cyclists, horse riders, skiers all cost acc as much as road motorcycle riders but pay nothing.
I hope Honda reparated Herb for inventing the trail bike.
The U.K. Is utterly horrendous. I mean you guys still have a monarchy. At least americans know our president doesnt do shit 😂🙂↕️ yet you guys still have kings and queens . Not hating . Just value democracy more.
You can make it higher. Just swap the shocks with higher travel shocks.
@@kevinlanzaderas8464 it’s not really that low though? Works fine as is.
nice - i enjoy learning about the various models/engines - cheers
another cool vid - nice to the variety - best bike to get amongst it economically? NBC?
cool vid Guys
Although I'm very happy with my super cub, I would be thrilled to rock one of those. It looks almost as classy but more practical.
Can i fixed after market chain hup (guard or cover) like yours for protection and the price in this model if i may ask 😜🙏🏼❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
I love it! Now I want to find some Hyosung badging to put on my Honda C70 to confuse my fellow Americans 😅
You guys could rent bikes in Malaysia or else in Thailand right!? Just me curiosity 🤪😉❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
My first ever motorcycle mate. A loy
Costs £ INSANE!!!!
Why it is not road legal in NZ?
Love this kind of stuff! Love waves! Have driven a lot of them in Thailand. But I hardly know anything about engines an stuff like that, so I have a little question for you. Is there any “easy”/cheap way of improving the power at any way on a wave and still have it roadlegal in Thailand you think?
I thought for a while that I would love to go camping in my motorcycle, but then I thought about the bathroom.
Well give him chance to show us his bike 😂😂😂
@@JohnJones-fk6ti the full video is on the channel already.
We've been waiting this model here in the Philippines but unfortunately I guess it won't happen! We only have the 110rsx
Sorry Herb, but it really is. Would I like a low range gearbox? Sure. Does it need it? No.
My baby ❤
Could Ct125 be a good choice for daily driving in NZ?
would love to see your group take on the scooter cannonball in America!
Yep.same model as my Dad's use😃🤜🤛👍
Love to see more on that Dax!
I have some footage of it. I'll have to see if I can find it.
@@SmallBikeStuff amazing! Really interested to know more about engine swaps like that
If you were to choose between a wave and an xrm, which one would you choose? (I can't decide)
Wave if it had the large under seat storage. I always like having storage.
Im buying a 1977 Honda c50 with a 125 engine tomorrow & will have a 80 mile ride home. I cant wait.
That'll be an awesome ride! Stay safe and have fun.
I have a 1994 honda chaly which i bored old 70cc bore to fit 100cc piston with a strocker kit i made with other bike parts still taking it like a champ ❤
Love a Honda Chaly! One of my favourite models and they go so well with a bit more power.
Great, love it!
Thanks mate!
I have bikes with Lifan and factory Honda engines. The lifans start every time, don't smoke, shift well, don't make funny noises, and if serviced last forever. I think they get a bad name from those who just jam them in and go full send. My old Honda engines smell funny, don't always start first try, use or leak a little oil but they are awesome little engines, generally have interchangeable parts, repairable on the side of the road, will run with several parts missing and make cool Honda sounds. I get both sides, some of my bikes I'll never Lifan, others I'm not bothered. My go to bike for group rides.... all looks original but has a sneaky Lifan hiding inside.
Yeah I love everything equally. If I can ride the bike then I'm happy. Lifans are good fun. Smiles per mile.
Suzuki's response towards Honda XRM 125.
In here it's called the Suzuki Raider J crossover, and it has 115cc engine. It's like, Honda's XRM competitor.
I love this video I drive a Ice Bear Champion (CT70/Dax Clone) with a Lifan 125 and I love it
Nice bike!
Put Lifan 125cc in my Dax Clone, it did 13000 miles with abuse and deliberate SFA maintenance, I finally removed it from bike due to vibrations, the thing still ran with insane compression, bottom engine mount bent in middle of casing, sides drilled out to remove from frame. Amazing Engines! New motor £180 delivered, no point fixing it. Do a video on that green Dax, looks like 14” wheels 🛞
Thats it! We always joked they were a 'disposable' motor. But you get a heck of a lot of life out of them before they're worth throwing away. Love Lifan!
@@SmallBikeStuff just stripping it down at work on lunch breaks, the barrel looks worn, and I believe excess side play in con rod, It’s the old 1 D 3 Up engines, large valve, can’t get them now, they are 4 up only new. I love the comment about loving the Dax over the Grom!
4x 125cc engines: -Semi auto PGMFI Honda x1 -Manual PGMFI Honda x1 -Semi auto carb Lifan x1 -Manual carb Lifan x1 Which would you prefer?
How much were the motorcycles? Cheap?
Less than $1000 NZD each mostly.
Do Not rev it like that from cold...
Thanks Ivan but it wasn't. Believe it or not - there is a magical thing called editing which takes place when I make these videos. This means long periods of time can be cut and almost appear as if they didn't exist. Such as the time this bike was warming up.
How much did you guys pay for the bikes?
Yeah under $1000 NZD each mostly.
nice oil cooler make big diff ?
It definitely keeps the temps down a little bit. But there are better ways to install an oil cooler too.
