I'm Sri Lankan and live in New Zealand.. I very often get mistaken for an Indian by both white and Indian people.. Everytime I go to an Indian shop they try to speak with me in Hindi, and Kiwis are surprised to hear me speaking in English with my Indian colleagues.. We do not share a language!!
