Consciousness-as-such, or nondual awareness, is the foundational aspect of consciousness, consciousness itself alone without any other phenomenal content, an empty awareness that is non-conceptual and without subject-object structuring, hence nondual.
'The greatest secret, more hidden than the most concealed and yet more evident than the most evident of things,' and that is consciousness itself.
The key issues in the science of consciousness today: lack of understanding of the nature of consciousness itself.
The main property of consciousness-as-such, or nondual awareness, is its non-representational non-conceptual reflexivity, knowing itself to be conscious or aware, directly, without relying on conceptual and symbolic representations. This property is what makes nondual awareness, phenomenally, cognitively and neurobiologically a unique kind, irreducible to other processes such as attention, arousal or conceptual metacognition.

A lovely talk, but I feel Tony's comments about Nisargadatta are quite inaccurate. First of all, Nisargadatta did not wear Indian clothing to make himself look like a guru. He wore Indian clothing because he was Indian and he lived in India and that's what people wear in India. If he ever wore a loincloth it was probably because it was 100 degrees F and he didn't have air conditioning, and he had the good sense to disrobe as much as he could get away with. Also, he didn't speak English and it's possible that his translators may have sometimes made it sound like he was talking to individuals on a spiritual path, or whatever it is that Tony is accusing him of. Anyway it's hard to keep qualifying everything you say with "But there is nobody here doing it, but there is nobody there doing it". Nisargadatta certainly did not set his followers up to be individuals on a spiritual path. Quite the opposite. He used to ask his audience, "Why do you keep coming back to see me? If you had understood what I am saying you would have stopped coming here a long time ago." Why doesn't Tony ever say that?
Tony, when William speaks; oh not him again!!
Nothing's happening..
Chatgpt AI generated essay : **Exploring the Interconnectedness of Ignosticism and Jiddu Krishnamurti's "Freedom from the Known"** Introduction: The realms of philosophy and spirituality offer diverse perspectives on the nature of existence, consciousness, and the divine. Among these perspectives, Ignosticism and Jiddu Krishnamurti's philosophy, particularly articulated in his work "Freedom from the Known," stand out for their profound inquiries into the fundamental questions of life. Ignosticism challenges traditional notions of God and theological discourse, while Krishnamurti's teachings delve into the nature of freedom and the limitations of conditioned thought. This essay aims to explore the interconnectedness between Ignosticism and Krishnamurti's philosophy, delving deeper into their respective insights and how they converge on the quest for truth and liberation. Ignosticism: A Critical Examination of Theological Concepts: Ignosticism, also known as igtheism, emerges as a philosophical stance that questions the meaningfulness or coherence of discussions about God without a clear and coherent definition of the term "God" itself. Rooted in the critical analysis of language and concepts, ignosticism urges intellectual rigor and precision in theological discourse. The ignostic perspective posits that before engaging in debates about the existence or nature of God, it is essential to establish a clear understanding of what is meant by the term "God." Without a coherent definition, discussions about God can devolve into semantic confusion or meaningless speculation. One of the key proponents of ignosticism is Rabbi Sherwin Wine, who articulated the position in his essay "Without God." Wine argues that theological debates often fail to progress due to the lack of agreement on the definition of God, leading to circular reasoning and confusion. Ignosticism, therefore, calls for a careful examination of the language used in theological discourse and challenges the assumptions underlying theological concepts. Ignosticism prompts us to consider the implications of our language and concepts when discussing theological matters. It highlights the importance of clarity and coherence in our thinking and communication, urging us to avoid vague or ambiguous terminology that can obscure rather than illuminate our understanding of the divine. Krishnamurti's "Freedom from the Known": Transcending Conditioned Thought: Jiddu Krishnamurti, a renowned philosopher and spiritual teacher, offers profound insights into the nature of freedom and the limitations of conditioned thought in his seminal work "Freedom from the Known." Krishnamurti invites readers to embark on a journey of self-inquiry and introspection, challenging the deeply ingrained patterns of belief and conditioning that shape our perception of reality. At the heart of Krishnamurti's philosophy is the idea that true freedom is found in the absence of psychological and ideological constraints. He argues that human beings are conditioned from an early age by societal norms, cultural values, and religious beliefs, which dictate their thoughts, behaviors, and perceptions. This conditioning, according to Krishnamurti, limits our capacity for genuine insight and prevents us from experiencing life directly and authentically. "Freedom from the Known" emphasizes the importance of questioning the validity of inherited beliefs and cultural conditioning. Krishnamurti encourages readers to examine the structure of their own minds, to observe the workings of thought without judgment or attachment. By becoming aware of the ways in which conditioning operates in our lives, Krishnamurti suggests, we can begin to break free from its grip and discover a deeper sense of truth and authenticity. The convergence of Ignosticism and Krishnamurti's Philosophy: While Ignosticism and Krishnamurti's philosophy approach the quest for truth from different angles-Ignosticism focusing on the critical examination of theological concepts and Krishnamurti emphasizing the liberation from conditioned thought-they converge on the theme of intellectual and spiritual liberation. Both perspectives invite us to question the assumptions and beliefs that shape our understanding of reality and to explore the deeper dimensions of existence. Ignosticism challenges us to critically evaluate our language and concepts when discussing theological matters, urging us to strive for clarity and coherence in our discourse. By questioning the meaningfulness of theological concepts without clear definitions, ignosticism encourages us to engage in more meaningful and productive dialogues about the nature of the divine. Krishnamurti's philosophy complements the ignostic perspective by emphasizing the limitations of conditioned thought and the necessity of transcending psychological and ideological constraints. By inviting us to examine the structure of our own minds and to observe the workings of thought without identification or attachment, Krishnamurti offers a practical approach to breaking free from the grip of conditioning and discovering a deeper sense of truth and freedom. Both Ignosticism and Krishnamurti's philosophy inspire us to question the known, to explore the unknown, and to awaken to the vast possibilities of the human mind. They remind us that genuine insight and liberation are found not in adherence to dogma or belief but in the fearless exploration of our own consciousness and the relentless pursuit of truth. Conclusion: In conclusion, Ignosticism and Jiddu Krishnamurti's "Freedom from the Known" offer profound insights into the nature of truth and liberation. While Ignosticism challenges the coherence of theological concepts and urges clarity and precision in our discourse, Krishnamurti's philosophy emphasizes the necessity of transcending conditioned thought and discovering a deeper sense of truth and authenticity. Together, they invite us to question the assumptions and beliefs that shape our understanding of reality and to embark on a journey of intellectual and spiritual liberation. In the convergence of Ignosticism and Krishnamurti's philosophy, we find a potent invitation to explore the unknown, to question the known, and to awaken to the boundless potential of the human mind.

The individual is already collapsed into everything. There is nothing apart from anything. Everything is the absolute or the absolute mystery appearing as knowing/knowable. No matter how this comes out, it’s always that which can’t be talked about yet we always find a way to talk about it 😂
