I just love the fact how no canes fans can just give the Rangers props instead of making excuses, saying lucky bounces, or blaming the refs. The canes have a good team, but the Rangers are better. If they weren't they wouldn't of eliminated the canes 2 outta the last 3 years.

Listen to what your coach said. You just got beat by the best team in the NHL. You need a goalie. Also they lack discipline. Good luck next year.

Your coach said in the media that one half your teams game is getting beaten very badly.. speaking to special teams. Special teams are big part of hockey, especially in the playoffs. Given the fact that the Canes were getting slaughtered on both the PP and PK.. and you can't even admit that? Lol? Where do you go from there? Rangers had the better goaltending... that was pretty obvious wasn't it? Canes had an edge on 5x5 because of puck possession.. but that went out the window in the game 6 3rd period.. Chris Krieder was better than your entire team in that third period. The Canes are great puck possession/cycling team, but they don't generate enough quality scoring chances. Once their man/man coverage gets disjointed... they unravel defensively. They place a great regular season style of hockey, but it doesn't correlate well to the playoffs, and you don't have great goaltending. Rangers are far from perfect (no team is) But your own coach said... NYR... best team in the league.

Mr. Anderson & Raanta were both good, (great sometimes), but they were never SPECTACULAR. Plus Anderson will be 35 @ the beginning of the season & I thought Kochetkov did a fantastic job as our main goalie during the season. I say make Kochetkov #1 next season & let Anderson be the back-up

The loss was on the team. Missed some great chances. Let NYR take the game to them for most of P3. But to say Freddie didn't play a major part in it is just as soft as 2 of those goals he let in.

Canes had chances to have at least 6 goals, shots off iron twice and grade A for Staal but Shesterkin. Like golf runners up that rim out putts but compete to the end. Canes will be fine. So much to like about this team.

I think the real problem here is that Carolina loses so many close games, the feeling is the solution is just one little move here, one little move there. The conundrum is that the games that are won by one goal can always be attributed to one lucky break, one bad call, one bad bounce, but when that happens 4 straight last year, and virtually this entire series, you have to ask yourself how many unlucky bounces, bad calls, bad breaks does the "luck" tell you that its more than just bad luck? At some point you have to tell yourself there is something inherently about the way this team plays that allows this kind of thing to happen much too often to call it "luck" anymore. If I were a Canes fan I would say its not one little tweak away, time to go in another direction. Keep your core young players, time for the 40 yr olds to find somewhere else, and when the young core is ready to hit, bring in the pieces to compliment it. As for Freddie he is a decent number 2. Some develop to number ones, but more often teams that take that number 2 and make them a number one dont usually do all that well come playoff time. Georgiev was Shesterkins number 2, bye Colorado. Talbot was Lundquists number 2, bye LA. But I still think he is only part of this.. A big part to be sure.

Way better coaching this season with improved play calling, Canales helps Bryce improve, our revamped OL gives Bryce time to throw, improved running game keeps opposing defenses honest, receivers actually get open, defense maintains last year’s capabilities and we win 7 games this year minimum.

The Rangers are better than Canes. How do I know? They just fucking beat them on the Canes home ice to eliminate them for second time in three years. The Rangers have much higher upside. There is not one player on the Canes better than Igor, Panarin, Fox, kreider or Zibanejad. Your goalies are average or slightly better. Not elite. Blame your GM. You’re never winning the East, this year or next or ever without elite goalies. They lost to the #1 seed in the NHL. The canes played their asses off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we see bad teams the year before tend to get better the next season? Sooooo these "so called winnable games" might be more difficult for any team, especially in the NFL where non of us really knows who'll be good & it's all best guess, but these days it's tough to determine who'll be good or not, outside of teams like the Chiefs & even then, we just don't know!!!!

I doubt you guys ever watch any other hockey games other than Canes games. The Rangers are better by every metric than the Canes. You guys need to get off the porch and leave your block and watch other teams play. The Canes aren’t top tier. They are good not elite. The Rangers are bordering on elite. Way better than the Canes.

Outside of the first 10 mins and the last 10 mins hurricanes were the better team we completely had that game won and gave it away. Freddie is 110% the reason we lost this series. Goalie play has been our downfall for pretty much the last 6 years in the playoffs and still hasn’t changed. Get Anderson out of the building let pytor completely run the show he had 94% save percentage in the month of February and never gave up more than 2 goals. Not to mention he only gave up 2 goals in regulation to the rangers in this series, Freddie only did that once in game 5 and we won the game.

I can't watch every team in the league. But in this series, the difference was apparently (goalie/special teams). RANGERS find ways to score on PP and PK! Shesterkin allows the RANGERS to fly when they are behind to come from behind! They and He have no fear!
