So the only reason we use Cloudflare for remote access is it offers DNS-based connectivity? Tailscale provides tunneling but you must know the public IP of the destination network that you want to tunnel into. With Cloudflare, instead of using the public IP, we can use a friendly name of a custom domain, right? Also, with Cloudflare, we don't need to install any daemons on the source computer. Just go to any computer that has Internet access, fire up a web browser, key in the domain name, and we have access to resources on a remote network? With Tailscale only, the source computer must run a Tailscale daemon program that will join that computer to a specified Tailscale network? Then the web browser can piggyback on that for remote access?

Homelab ia expensive if you use unifi. I love that user wich use unifi and then he considered himself as network engineer. Add network->insert vlad id-> finish… yesss i’m engineer. Anyway at much lower cost you can use mikrotik switch and router at same performence and much more configuration

Alexpress is great and i get all my IT there. Some things are crap but that is hardly aliexpresses fault and I have found their support good.

I installed a Reolink POE system using (6) CX410 cameras connected to an 8-channel Reolink RLN8-410 NVR. I am extremely pleased with the performance of the cameras, NVR, and especially the AI software. The camera clarity and brightness at night is excellent. I like the spotlight feature that turns on if motion is detected. The NVR software is excellent and the GUI interface is easy to navigate around the system. The AI software is amazingly accurate with no false alerts. The AI software can tell the difference between a animal, person, and vehicle. I give Reolink high marks for providing accurate AI software for free. I hope they don't start charging for it because it's a big selling point. The quality of their products are comparable to a high end system. Great job Reolink! Great video Raid Owl!

I would love to see the comparison video. I’m rocking my old gtx 970 in my Homelab, and I would love to see how some modern gpus compare for Plex transcoding

Speaking as a 90 degree rgb 24 pin connector, I found the video entertaining in a 'what might make me laugh while enjoying a WATER after a long day at work' kind of way. Now reconnect those speakers and let them BURN!!

"Open and close" That's aperture, it's a good option for lenses/cameras to have. Wider aperture = more light, but less depth of field

This feels like a downgrade or a sidegrade from ASUS's home AiMesh line. Which I really like, and I think is great. This "expert" product needs some work, and I'm not seeing too many reasons to spend $200 extra on this package than what I spent on my 2-unit mesh system.

Did you use a modular PSU for the speakers? Did you use the right modular molex cable to hook it up? There's so many different wirings for them, you could have accidentally put the wrong voltage or reverse voltage into speakers and that's why they blew. Just a though, maybe worth checking!

Didn't know there was this variant of the PCI-E splitter card, thanks for the heads up. "This changes everything", in some setups. Bookmarked the USB extender too, currently I use a 10 or 15M extender cable (non-powered, but with a dongle on it), and the length is barely enough.
