That question was a good question! I am in the same place. My life circumstances - part in my control, part not - have led me to this place where I am very angry all the time and worried about ruining relationships. If you can't get therapy, make sure you have safe to talk to, to vent without judgement, scream if you need to, swear if you need to. It doesn't solve any problems, but it feels good. Physical exercise, especially if it is intense, like going to the batting cages, or taking up boxing or martial arts. That outlet is priceless. And do scream. Seriously. Let it out. I listen to angry music when I get overwhelmed, and to me, that is an outlet for my own anger. But definitely therapy, if it is accessible to you.
Mak, I know I'm late, but your crab story means I have to say something. That sort of crap is literally what got me vegan. I had to ask myself why I would eat something knowing I am bothered by seeing the whole animal or the slaughter process? Why do we turn our conscience off to eat other live beings when we don't need to kill and eat them?? That said, vegan is an ethical stance. It isn't just diet, it is lifestyle. That means not eating any animal products, including honey and gelatin(ground up bones), not buying clothes or accessories that are made from leather, suede, wool, silk, etc., and boycotting aquariums and zoos and any other form of exploiting animals for entertainment. If it is just the diet you want, you'll be plant-based. I took it slow, first getting rid of dairy (most of us are lactose-intolerant anyway; funny, we aren't babies anymore, and definitely not baby cows), then eggs, then seafood, then all other meat. Honestly, it was easier than I expected, and I don't miss it. 8 years in, only wish I had done it sooner. There is so much on the market now than can be whatever you want. Craving mozzarella? So many vegan-friendly options. Want crab cakes? Have them! Love burgers? Your options are endless.
