    I tried to take a mechanics course and I never really followed along. I was kind of good at it for a little while. Just never felt like going into a dealership because that’s how you make the most money and that was really my goal at first, but I started to realize the other important things in life and I’m gonna become aHVAC technician

    Can you do me a favor? Can you zero on how those decks are raised and lowered (the non-mechanized ones). I have a deck on the back of my truck, and I'm trying to figure out how to mount gas struts to help me lift it. Right now, I just pull it up (it's a custom-made aluminum deck, so not terrible heavy) using a rope. Thanks!

    Brad, did anyone have a bathroom in their 🚛? I saw Mark had a 🚿. How does King keep cool or warm in his car, and avoid all that moisture that comes when sleeping in the car with the 🪟 closed?

  • @nomadbrad503
    @nomadbrad50318 сағат бұрын

    we all have toilets except for king. mark is the only one with a shower. king has window screens that allow him to leave his windows open most of the time. he has been hanging out in the air conditioned box trucks when its hot. Im hoping he can get a box truck soon and be a little more comfortable

    No one in van life videos ever seems to mention rest areas. Like those on the interstate. Is sleeping in a rest area okay? I've seen truckers and others parked in them but I haven't been late at night.

    You have a great interior in your truck Amazing, great job. All that, mini-split, batteries, solar-panels, etc, is very cash intensive, so you are lucky to be able to afford all that stuff. 4 x 320 watt solar panels are like $1000. More for the mini-split.

    Pretty cool with the mini split. I have thirty two kilowatt worth of solar at my place I installed. You'd better have a coat on in the summer time and shorts in the winter if you're in my place.😂

    quick tip! if you wanna lessen the onion eye burn, you can cut the end of the onion off and leave them in water for a few minutes; the active chemical burning your eyes clings to water, so if your eyes are watering then id say wipe your eyes thoroughly and the burn goes away

    And as far as the whole showering subject goes do a towel bath. Use a damp towel to wipe your pits, crotch, butt, and you can rinse your hair out, and swab your skin, and your good. Definitely towel off your crotch butthole last though.

    Holy crap that's actually a really good toilet. I was going to say some people use composting toilets and you could use a square bucket to store it in nooks conveniently but that one actually looks pretty user friendly. I mean now that I think about it you can pretty much pee in a gallon container put a lid on it and go poop in cheap disposable bags and tie them up like a dog poop bag... I think RV toilets are one of the most over-engineered things where they try to replicate an actual flushing toilet and it fills up that septic tank like like crazy. I lived in an RV for about a year once and had to dump the septic about once a week and a whole process was a nightmare and a waste of space. Luckily I was parked right over a septic tank so I could just open it and empty the tank every time.
