I always buy Harris brushes for painting but I didn't know there was a special brush for decking - thanks for the tip! 🌹

Good job. I would recommend using masking tape though. Most of us amateur folks with shaky hands will end up with wavy lines on the wall and floor without it.

The other side of that panel will have light grey runs all down it.. That neighbour will not be happy . Poor example of how to paint a panel.

I just bought a 9 inch roller for the job but I don't know if ot'll be too big. I hope it works. In the video there you used a smaller roller

One layer of paint wont come off evenly with paint stripper. You'll end up with a very patchy, rough skirting board with multiple layers of paint exposed.

No, no, and thrice no.... 1.The batch number has absolutely nothing to do with the matching/repeat of the pattern 2. You should paste from the centre outwards and not run the brush along the length of the paper 3. Dont fold the paper in half, the first fold should be the biggest leaving a small piece to unfold at the bottom 4. Never cut freehand, thats what a straight edge is for 5. Never take the paper around a corner, (a massive no no when hanging paper) always cut both pieces into the corner, plumbing the remaining strip 6. Dont run the blade over a switch or socket, it will scratch it 7. Dont hang the first piece from a door frame, the architrave may not be plumb

Batch number has everything to do with the matching/repeat of the pattern. If a block, screen or roller is swapped out during a production print run there is no guarantee that the replacement will reproduce the pattern exactly in placement or size so a new batch number would be assigned.

As a decorator your better of learning how to cut in than using tape especially if you don't know what sort of paint is on the walls as the tape can pull the paint off evening tape designed for wallpapers and theres always more a chance the paint wasn't applied properly and be contract or vinyl matt. plus or going to have to pull the tape before the each coat of paint dries and re tape other wise it can pull the paint off. good tape is expensive if I used tape like this I would through £1000 of tape a year

oil gloss yellows the most out of any paint especially nowadays with restrictions on what ingredients can be used.

😂 Spot the flaws video 😂 And the carpet would be a write off (paint stripper! :(, paint) so best get rid of first, and thoroughly clean. (Fairy, sugar soap.) Sort out any lumps, holes, damage? Paint stripper top layer 😂 of two 😂 (Stripper for major damaged paint on expensive / detailed wood work only! (and so much work) and use cheap / old brushes!) . Better to replace ordinary skirting with new if that bad. Use wider paint brush... Also i use oil based and do 'different' directions each coat, fine light sand in between, so perfectly smooth surface forms, no brush marks etc. etc.

yes a lot of paint strippers ain't very good now and 99% are water based which means you have to washed them off after as well on top needing about a coat paint stripper per coat of paint now

I can't seem to find a video about this question: Can you hang wallpaper on the same wall as a baseboard heater? We have all kids of old paper in our house on walls with baseboard heaters. We like the wallpaper look and want to hang new paper, but I'm reading that you shouldn't hang on a wall with an electric baseboard. The walls in questions have small 36" heaters. Thoughts?

I'm a painter and decorator but I started of doing that and now I'm a jack of all trades master of none 😆 I bet you've heard that before, this is probably the best wallpapering video I've seen so far, but you could of explained how to deal with a switch alot better to novices, it was OK for apprentices and you should mention to your viewers about paper shrinking because sometimes wetting paper makes it expand and when the paper has time to dry out there might be a little gap between each wallpaper hang so sometimes overlapping is necessary. Sorry to be a ass but watching my dad do decorating for so many years I've picked up alot ❤ 😍 💖
