Good job. I would recommend using masking tape though. Most of us amateur folks with shaky hands will end up with wavy lines on the wall and floor without it.

I didn’t prime mine and now I notice any small knocks like moving Furniture about causes them to peel slightly, plz use a primer or be prepared to do touch ups. Unfortunately I threw my paint can out and lost my receipt no idea what paint it was.
Is there any point to sanding the top layer of paint, you then remove with stripper ? I’m not seeing the benefit

Maybe the paint stripper liquid can better oentrate the top layer of paint

If you give the wood work a better rub down and dust off with actual sandpaper properly better then using paint stripper (Also bad for the environment). That small brush painting will take you hours if you got loads to do. Was cringe from start to finish with that video. Sorry for being honest.
Dose any one knows between roll and brush it’s stays a white line when it’s painted with colour please let me know if someone knows what is the problem
Blimey!They definitely tried to save money In the making of this video -look at the size of that paintbrush!. It's absolutely tiny.

As a person just learning to.paint I have not learn how to paint a skirting board I learn to strip clean but not how to paint. I have to try another video.
I have two paint brushes.but my mate charly borrowed them.

That’s exactly what I’ve done. Also in old houses many bugs and dump might be found underneath old skirtings. Well cheaper to replace with new ones primed it’s only £7 per 2.4 meters long skirting’s and you’ll get nice fresh skirtings
One layer of paint wont come off evenly with paint stripper. You'll end up with a very patchy, rough skirting board with multiple layers of paint exposed.
😂 Spot the flaws video 😂 And the carpet would be a write off (paint stripper! :(, paint) so best get rid of first, and thoroughly clean. (Fairy, sugar soap.) Sort out any lumps, holes, damage? Paint stripper top layer 😂 of two 😂 (Stripper for major damaged paint on expensive / detailed wood work only! (and so much work) and use cheap / old brushes!) . Better to replace ordinary skirting with new if that bad. Use wider paint brush... Also i use oil based and do 'different' directions each coat, fine light sand in between, so perfectly smooth surface forms, no brush marks etc. etc.

I'm cerprised he hasn't cerjested removing the skirting board stripping it sanding it priming it undercoating it two coats of gloss then refixing it
I'd suggest taking the carpet up first but then that's just me.
That paint stripper made it even worse as surface became not nice and flat
if I was you I would lift up the carpet, use the hot gun for a faster result instead strip paint, then undercoat or equivalent following paint. You save time and the result will be incredible. Good luck fella

I came her to watch a professional painter paint a skirting board but never got the information i needed. I wanted to watch a a professional cut in the board and the wall and all i got was nothing....cheers

yes a lot of paint strippers ain't very good now and 99% are water based which means you have to washed them off after as well on top needing about a coat paint stripper per coat of paint now

Even if he is a bit slow its a demonstration! He’s hardly going to be slapping it on as quick as he can is he. I don’t see you uploading videos seeing as though you’re the expert.

i would starve to death after losing my house wife and kids if i worked like this.
New carpet £700 after being stained from paint stripper as the cheap masking was lifting, shall we not mention the paint on the wall too, if that's a professional painter then god help us all!!!

The poor finish to the top of the skirting is awful. I am picky and like clean clear lines and this is not that
