Hello! Thanks for stopping by. :)
Welcome to my little corner where I mostly talk about books and drink lots of coffee! You might see some vlogs or other types of videos here and there as well!
I mostly read Christian fiction & nonfiction, junior/midgrade, memoirs/biographies/true stories, and classics.
Ultimately my goal in life is: to know Jesus more, to become more like Him, to make Him known, and to honor Him with all that I do. I hope to do that well in this little corner of KZread and all aspects of my life. He is worthy.
*This obviously influences my choice of books to read. If a book promotes ideas or has any elements that dishonor God and His Word, I will either DNF (this will vary on the content) or at the least it will lose stars in my ratings. *
"Wherever she went, whatever she was doing, Jesus was her theme, and His love for dying humanity was her compelling motive."

Loved your video...the music was really pretty. I was watching this video while cleaning up my office 😊
@@AlmasBookJourney thank you ☺️🤍
Chronicles of Avonlea and Northanger Abbey! Two of my favorites. Northanger is my favorite Austen.
@@CandlewickLibrary I think I will just go ahead and say that’s it My favorite now too! I can’t stop thinking about it since I read it 😆
Loved this video! You may not have read for 24hr, but you were super productive with your reading around your life!
So glad you enjoyed Northanger Abbey! I've only read a graphic novel adaptation of it, but I really enjoyed it and want to read the book at some point.
@@Coffee_and_a_Book oh a graphic novel would be interesting! I’m gonna look it up ☺️
@@Coffee_and_a_Book I also think this one was the easiest to read and follow along out of all her books 👌🏼
@@carmenjanae The one I read was by Nancy Butler, if that helps.
@@Coffee_and_a_Book thank you!
As a new mom myself, I loved this video so much! 💕💕
@@onceuponabookishsteph 🥰
great video, but unfortunately the music was really loud and then there were times that I could barely hear your voice. not trying to be critical and maybe it's just my computer! :)
@@juliewells4310 hhmm thanks for letting me know. I don’t have a mic for my camera and sometimes if I talk quieter when baby is sleeping I notice it’s REALLY quiet so then you have to turn the volume up which then makes the music loud. I’ll play around with my editing because I don’t want it to be annoying to watch 😆
@@carmenjanae Or I'll just mess with my volume cuz I don't have a sleeping baby! :)
@@juliewells4310 I’ll still try to adjust things on my end. I’ve dealt with that too with the conflicting audio in their videos and it doesn’t make for a pleasant watching experience. ☺️
Out of all Jane Austen novels, I had the most fun reading Northanger Abbey! And Henry teasing Catherine in the carriage ride was my favorite part. ☺️
@@robinkirk1821 it’s just so good!! 😍
Oops sorry to have interrupted your readathon 😂.
@@krystalmiller4832 you can interrupt anyone. I like when people pop in for chats 😆🤍

Wait, y'all don't have snakes in the water?😮😮😮
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf we have snakes but they are harmless. At least where we go 🙌🏼😆
Yes, Henry teasing Catherine is so cute!
In Emma, it's the Eltons. And Emma. One could also argue Frank Churchill.
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf right. Frank Churchill 😅 but also the Elton’s 😆
Oh, I loathe Mr. Thorpe.
I mean, Austen has worse characters, but still...
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf 👌🏼🤣
Aww, sweet baby noises!

Give yourself a break! You say, “I’m a mom. I read 3 books this month! YAY!!! 😁

Finally! Someone that likes coffee as much as I do, except I like mine sweet with half and half and a soft top😂 I’m always craving a coffee when I watch your videos. I’d love to hear more of your story about why you moved and you went to Poland over the summer?! I’ve watched several of your videos but I don’t see that content anywhere, sorry if I missed it. I’m loving all of your content, I know you have a baby now but I hope you’re able to continue making videos.
@@MILKandHONEY13 ooh yes, coffee!! I’ll drink it any type of way for the most part 😆😆 and I crave it when I watch other videos of people drinking coffee. 😆 and do you mean why I moved to CO or?? And Poland - one of my dearest friends is currently living there as an English teacher, and at the time some of my other friends lived there as well working at the same school. I had visited before and fell in love with the country. Then a group of my friends from my hometown in GA decided to go together to visit, since we were all part of a good friend group with the one who is currently there. 😆 I hope that makes sense. 🤣 but no, I didn’t really film while I was there. Just wanted to be in the moment and enjoy my time with friends. ☺️ but yes, I’m gonna try to keep making videos as much as I can. ☺️
@@carmenjanae that’s so interesting! I’m sure Poland was lovely. Why did you move to Colorado? I also live in the West. It’s hot!!!🥵
@@MILKandHONEY13 I moved there to volunteer for a year working with a mission. Met my husband there who was also working for them. And we stayed there after getting married.

When Calls the Heart is my favorite show! I don't think I realized that it was a book... That's definitely going on my tbr!!
@@sarahrosereadss it is a good wholesome show. But yes, read the book. It’s much better.😆
@@carmenjanae I can't wait!! When calls the heart is the only show I watch because it's so wholesome, so I'm really excited to see how the book is!
I love how much Christian historical fiction you read, I’m not a huge fan of contemporary Christian fiction so you have wonderful recs!
@@MILKandHONEY13 it is my favorite genre! I got my love for history from my dad, and I just always thought historical fiction brought it to life and made it seem more real 😆
I love other content in your in your videos as well as books too! It’s fun and interesting and I love to hear you talk about your faith, in another video where you were talking about offensive content in a book you talked about your faith and I found that so inspirational!
1:03 The Boy the mole and the fox and the horse it’s one of my favorites of all time. I read it every year 🔥🔥🔥💯So beautiful and sweet 😊
@@ChrissiesPurpleLibrary love that! ☺️

I LOVE Roseanna M White!! That is the second book in the series. I guess they COULD be ready out of order, but of course are best read in order. The Lost Heiress is the first book in that series and is my absolute favorite by her!
@@daminikacs thank you! Good to know. I’ll see if I can find this one too! ☺️
I am reading my first Rachel Fordham book and now I want to read her entire backlist! ❤

@@faithandbooks it was gift from a friend and it’s my absolute favorite 😍
I loved Once Upon a Wardrobe!
It’s crazy to me how hard it is to get the When Calls the Heart books especially in the same format . I blame the hallmark show (Which I love and it was what made want the whole series)
Oh, it's so frustrating not being able to find a book in the right edition! I ran into the same problem with Kate Morton's books (I've enjoyed so many of her books!) I owned all of them except her first one and it took me forever to find one with the original cover. I even ordered it one time from Amazon, and it was pictured with the right cover but when it arrived it was the new cover 😖 Also I've read Between Sisters by Kristin Hannah and, while I have really enjoyed most of her later books (like Firefly Lane and newer), I didn't enjoy Between Sisters quite as much because she just didn't put in the same character depth that she has in her later books. Just to give you fair warning because I remember that being a big part of why I was disappointed with that one.
@@Coffee_and_a_Book oh that’s so frustrating! 😣 And thanks for heads up! I’ll see how it goes with that one. 😅
lol one day you hit your 40s and you will need that large print.
@@ReadBrucey probably 🤣
I had to order my When Calls The Heart Books from Thrift books because I wanted all of the old covers. I finally got them but I had to send back a couple because they were very poor quality
@@MILKandHONEY13 yeah I wasn’t having much luck with thriftbooks either 🙃
Have you read the Return to the Canadian West series by Janette Oke? That is the series the show is more based on, however I will say I love the books way more! They were all five stars for me. So when they created the series they did it off of the series about her niece Beth Thatcher that moves to coal valley. I yell at the show because it doesn’t follow the books completely.
@@MILKandHONEY13 that makes so much more sense! But no I never read those books! Will hopefully get to them as soon as I’m done with my reread of this series ☺️
@@carmenjanae there are 3 books, the first one is called Where Courage Calls. I think they are sort of companion novels to the show but they are good in their own right and worth reading, I don’t think they’re as good as the original series but I still loved them!
Loved this vlog!! ❤
@@LeeEllenHughes10 glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Honestly I love these random vlogs. Also...maybe this isn't the place to mention it but I was just thinking that we should collab again!🤭
@@ericayoder I agree 😆
I hope I can read this book without reading the others but I got an Uncommon Courtship from Libby, it sounds really good
@@MILKandHONEY13 I think you can read it without reading the others first … it does mention the sisters and their spouses a few times but that would be the only “spoiler” to know who they end up with but you can pretty much figure that out on the back of the books anyway. 😆
You have wonderful book suggestions!
That is a beautiful library 😍
Love Kip's name story!
I can imagine how much of a blessing yall were to your pregnant friend!
Love the BuJo flipthru! So cute!!
Well, I’m glad you found one! 👍🏻Disregard my previous comment. I always used Anbesol when my son was teething. Disregard if you’re Firstborn denomination.
It looks like the books are different publishers. But I think I would return it also. I don’t mind large print but I can’t stand white stark paper and dark ink. It hurts my eyes. ThriftBooks had one from February 2005 with Bethany House as the publisher which I think would be quality. 🤷♀️They had six left.
@@amyodell7157 hhmm I remember looking on thriftbooks but I don’t remember seeing any copies. 😅 but pango ended up being cheaper anyway 🙌🏼
