A fun and a great break down of what makes a character a good character in any setting and ststem. I love how much changing something like the word "flaw" into "insecurity" has such a dramatic effect on how we see the character.

In my campaign that has just started the sadistic BBEG of the first "chapter" that single handedly pushed the world to the brink of a world war is actually secretly fighting a more powerful conspiracy group that threatened to destroy life as we know it. He had to to all of this to upset their plans. And when the players will eventually beat him, there would be nothing left to push against that group. Except for the players who'd hear all the truth in the last words of BBEG

Supers conseils!

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you for your cool advices and thank you so much for having subtitles in english upon release! I know it must be a big pain, but it makes it so much easier to share it with my players who aren't very fluid in english. English is also not our first language, and as much as I understand it perfectly, most of them do not, so most of the time I can't share a lot of content I find on KZread with them. Your content is an exception, and at the same time is very high quality! Thanks!!! :D

If ppl have a problem with it, they really should think about expanding there friend group, travel a bit more or just try to speak another language themselves. ❤❤

Thank you Cork. There are many "how to/advice" tubers out there. I am Keeper and listen to DnD advise as well. However, YOUR advise is very special. Your ideas and insights go deeper into the less appriciated and in my opinion, more nessecary concepts which make a richer gaming scene. Working inside out. Thank you Thank you.

100% agree that it is very much collaborative. It shouldn't all be on the GM. I make sure I have buy in from the players now. I had one real bad attempt where I pitched a game and didn't make sure everyone was onboard with the concept. Then tried playing and one of the players was completely there for something else. Anyways, it has to be collaborative, I totally agree. I look at it like improv, but it can be dramatic or wtv is desired by the group. Somewhat tangentially, I have come around to accepting passive players too. There was a point where I thought if a player wasn't more active they weren't having fun but I have come around to just accepting that sometimes people just want to show up, hangout and be support characters or enjoy where the story takes them. Good vid!

Thank you for the great videos you produce! I think the perspective of looking at your character as a way to connect to the three elements you mentioned is really clever and framing it like that could be a valuable way to help inexperienced (and also many experienced) players make characters that are better suited for TTRPGs.
