    8:24 i like how hes saying that wolf and mauler are the ones that are unreasonable for wanting an explanation beforehand and framing it like they want some one line short explanation framing it as if they're easy to win over and lazy. When hes the one arguing that leias force moment in space which the writers pulled out their ass is great and 'magical'. Its like dude do you not see how this applies to you

    The crazy thing about the clone question, is I know for a fact that *if* I gave my life to save them, they'd all five just immediately turn around and kill each other, because that's what my own thought process would naturally come to. That no matter how many clones of me might exist, I only have one self (or one soul), and I refuse to share all the most precious things to me in my life with anyone else who believes that they're me, and that those things are rightfully theirs too. Not that I blame them, because they can't help it, but the world does not need another me

    12:10 So, even though I am happy and in love with the products that came from the Disney changes of the original stories such as Pinocchio, the sentiment of "I don't care what x intended" seems to be a prevailing edict with today's Disney and Hollywood as a whole. I can't really rationalize myself, but can someone explain why, in layman terms, it was okay to deviate from the source material back then and be praised, but we nowadays groan and bemoan writers who do that exact same thing? I know this sort of sounds like a college s a question, but im legit curious? Is it literally just because stories today are ass? I hope they don't answer it in the rest of the video, lol, or I'll look like an asshole.

    The story of Pinocchio didn't end with him being hanged. That was when the writer took a hiatus. He then came back to write an ending happier than the Disney version. He was a puppet so he couldn't be hanged then he saved his father from the whale. Then they came back to their house where he worked at weaving reed baskets to earn himself and geppetto some money until he heard that the fairy was quite sick. So he took from the money that was meant to buy himself new clothes. And sent it to her to buy medicine. The next morning he looked in the mirror to see a blue eyed brown haired boy looking back at him.

    In the games NCR was a polity that stretched from the west coast to Nevada, as in something that would be devastated if the capital was nuked, but wouldn't disappear overnight. In the show they made it just a singular city of Shady Sands, when they could've just used established non-nation like Boneyard. Hank having access to nukes without any of the logistics explained and the interconnected vault conspirators being able to clean vault 32 overnight felt like that kind of lazy writing where the antagonists have infinite resources and happen to make the dumbest decisions when the plot demands it.

The bit about the tree was funny but imagine them talking about marketing with Jimminy 😂 "Is he a mass murder psychopath?", well Rags'ssss, he did kill Jimminy 😂

    I guess it's too much for me to hope that they could let the guy get through one sentence without spending the next 7 minutes scrutinizing every wording choice he made, or spinning off into some bizarre tangent. Mauler's parents must have had a lot of fun raising him as a child.

    They briefly talked about Disney not doing proper 2D animation anymore because it's expensive, but I don't really know if that's true. Like sure, animating on 1's (24 frames per second) is expensive, but so is CGI animation too for something like a typical Pixar film. Disney switched to 3D when Princess and the Frog bombed, but the poor success of their animations at a time could be mostly attributed to awful scripts. There is a huge international audience for anime so it's not like kids started hating 2D animation out of the blue. But the suits in charge tend to make the dumbest conclusions possible when something is a financial failure or success.

    Let me guess he absolutely loves modern disneys interpretation of classic stories where Pinocchio is made of ebony wood, bi sexual, and wears drag while reading sexualised books to the fellow school children, then rides around on a blue haired land whale.

    So one of the godfathers of Japanese aname immediately following WWII encountered a GI at His University while playing piano which He was studying with the soldier singing the part which resulted in a long exchange between the two despite the language barrier The young student used His other talent drawing a quick sketch portrate of the American who indicated He should wait then went to retrieve a collection of comic books sent from home to a appreciative fan who then presented them to a fellow music and art lover and of all the books The young student was inspired by the Donald Duck Adventure series which caused Him to switch majors and a few years later He began producing foundational works that still resonate strongly today

    I've replied to a few of Wisecrack's videos, and this kind of behavior is very much the norm for him. He is very manipulative with his language and eager to point out undertones in everything he sees. He's done it with Harry Potter, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, One Piece, and on and on. This take from him is, honestly, something I expect. I'm glad EFAP got to respond to this. Haha. Great work.

    I feel like the main thing people seem to forget about these eastern european tales is that they were dark because of the culture they were in. The average person in places like Germany or slovakia or in the balkans, were farmers that were knee deep in dark forests, in harsh winters, facing deadly animals in the daytime and night. You had to have a sense of hardiness to you because without it, you die before you even say your first word. Compared to when disney made Pinocchio where everyone already dealt with 2 world wars and the collapse of many nations and people. Where he wanted to give people hope in a world where things were already bleak

    The funny thing is that some people keep saying how Disney has changed, but adapting old stories for the "modern audience" is what they do, since their very conception (that's why I hated them before it was cool 😂). The difference, imo, is that in the past they were actually able to understand what (most) contemporary people wanted. Now they seem to think that your average unhinged twitter screamer is representative of the masses...

    Why Wisecrack insist on depicting Walt Disney Co as a media giant? When they were producing Pinocchio, the studio was a rather small one compared to the other Hollywood giants and they probably were barely getting by.

  • @bigboi5545
    @bigboi55456 сағат бұрын

    @alidaraie They WERE barely getting by. Pinochio and Fantasia were massively expensive productions that bombed in their original releases. Why do you think cheaper productions like Dumbo and the package films followed throughout the 1940s?

    While I love the original Pinocchio, the Disney version still managed to be faithful with the original message: be good or you'll face consequences of your actions (both for punishment or from those who wants to abuse naive kids) The same goes with the other movies that Disney made before 2010, they kept (more or less) the lesson from the original fairy tale. An example is Mulan, the original was tragic but the lesson was that intelligence count more than muscles and the same lesson was in the animated version. Both Pinocchio and Mulan were screwed up in the remakes because not only they have nothing to do with the original, but they also thrown the lesson out of the window

  • @nuclearchezburgr3857
    @nuclearchezburgr38578 сағат бұрын

    Idk if i would say that Intelligence > Muscle in 1998 Mulan. I think its more of a lesson that anyone can rise to challenges with conviction and teamwork. Its true that Mulan is intelligent throughout, but she would've failed in her story if not for the camraderie of her fellow soldiers. She would've fallen off that mountain after wiping out the Huns after all! Which is lost on the 2020 Mulan, of course (which I daresay is ruining culture). Interestingly, the Ballad of Mulan doesn't have the soldiers find out Mulan is a woman until years later. Its a starkly different tale, but the message is pretty similar. You can tell a female rabbit and male rabbit apart when looking at them head-on, but its impossible to tell when running side-by-side.

  • @TheRoflcer
    @TheRoflcer25 минут бұрын

    Original Mulan Poem: "Running side by side, how can they tell which rabbit is the male, and which is the female." Retarded Live Action Remake: "I shaw two rabbats running side ba side, I thwank wan wah a male and wah was a female."
