    My piggy,Harley, will rumble and go up to my boss piggy,Hampton, and it looks like he kisses Hampton near his eye/face. It looks like Harley is being submissive?!Because he doesn’t try to bite Hampton EVER.❤I do a full sweep of their cage 2x per day ( rugs/bedding every 2-3 days) and it’s so satisfying when they start purring and chutting around their clean cage😊❤ My piggies are seniors (4-4 1/2) so they rarely popcorn, but they seem pretty happy, so I’m not worried ❤

    This is an encyclopedia-scale survey of healthy vegetables for guinea pigs! You detail the nutrients in each vegetable introduced and widely include ethnic, cultural, and literary knowledge about the vegetables. This video is well-made and loaded with useful and valuable feeding tips for people who raise guinea pigs! I will be honored and happy to help promote this video! Thank you for making this and many other very informative and enjoyable videos! PS. It is so great to see Noodles again eating fresh corn, kale, and many vegetables! Noodles was very much loved! 🙏😀

    I got a couple of loose stone tiles from the hardware store, clean them, and put them in the fridge and then in a corner of the cage. The fridge gets the tile nice and cool and the piggies can go lay on it. And it’s not so cold it will hurt them like from putting it in the freezer might

    That's a great idea! Ceramic tiles and stones will evacuate the heat more quickly making them a nice and cozy place to rest. Putting them in the refrigerator ahead of time is a very good idea 👍🥰🥰

    I put cold water and ice cubes in a hot water bottle then wrap it in a thin towel and lay it in their cage so they can lay on top of it and it makes them so happy. I also fill plastic bottles, like water or pop bottles, half - 2/3 of the way full and put them in the freezer overnight (without the caps on so the bottles don't explode) then in the morning I fill them up the rest of the way with water and put the bottle in a couple of long socks then I put them behind their hides/hutches so it cools down the inside of the hide/hutch and around the cage for them to cool off next to without being in the hides/hutches

    The signs of distress in regards to heat stroke can also be signs of other medical illness, So if a not so experienced guinea pig parent/owner thinks something is wrong with their guinea pig they should just call the vet regardless.

    How do you tell the difference between rumbling and purring?

  • @GuineaPigFacts
    @GuineaPigFacts3 сағат бұрын

    That’s an excellent question because both sounds can be similar. It will mostly depend of the context. As example Raven will purr when she is happy when she fresh hay. Then she will rumble when she gets blocked by and other piggy to go on the second floor. She will also have an in between pur-rumble when we put her on the floor and there is no cage around. Seems like she is a bit anxious when she doesn’t have any references point. She is not a free roamer like Sarah and Brownie.

    @@GuineaPigFacts yea that's so cruel. There should be more laws about that, most people dgaf about animal's feelings and needs and that's so sad... I used to have two piggies and they had the best life and everything they needed. I would love to get more piggies but now I live in a small apartment and I work full shift so it would be selfish of me and unfair with them if I adopted and left them all day alone at home. Even in pairs, they need attention and a lot of space. Wish every piggie could have a happy and safe home, they are amazing lil creatures 💗

    😂Does Brownie know DAVID (from luxury designs,I think) cuz he has the same decorating ideas!No space to move,but tons of stuff 😂 I have 3 piggies in a 5x2 C and C cage,with 2 wooden houses that have 4 exits,a woven wood tunnel, and a balcony with a ramp that is 8” wide on a very gradual incline (cuz they’re senior piggies and don’t like to climb, but they can easily jump up there when they WANT TO.)Plus,they like to lay under the balcony 😊So it’s set up so they can run around the entire cage easily, but still have hiding spots and escape routes when they don’t want to be near the other ones.Their setup seems luxurious, but all items are $7-15(I’m on a VERY tight budget!)The most expensive thing was the wood tunnel at $20! They have the entire cage lined with small nubby rugs. The ease of cleaning them is astonishing, and then you can put them in the washer every couple days so that your piggies stay clean and dry!❤ All things I got from Amazon/Temu and the rugs from Target ($7)- because I have tried others, but they weren’t as thick/well-made and didn’t wick well. Cardboard boxes and paper bags work fine and ALL piggies love them,if your budget is even tighter- the piggies won’t complain(and they get satisfaction when they chew and nibble on them )😂❤

    That's wonderful, You are right that we can do lots of thing for them without braking the bank. The fleece liner can be purchase in a thrift store and many accessories can be made with recycled cardboard box and tube. I have to admit that the next thing we will try are the bathroom rugs to save on laundry. Thank you so much for your support.

    I have been using the frozen bottle in a sock for a couple years,but I recently got some cooling mats for them that are * kinda * like mini air mattresses (but thick) and they have a place to put cold water in.There is a thick border of cotton sewn around it so that they can’t chew/bite/mangle it 😂❤Love the channel,btw🎉

    To summarize, if you lack money, the most important thing, first of all, is to give your little companion at least one friend and a lot of space, the decorative and cozy side logically taking second place.... if I have correctly Understood. Indeed, I'm French, and you speak so quickly that I don't have time to read the subtitles 😂🤣. Cozy is good, but very large is even better and even essential 😊! I live in Western Australia and we get some very hot days. I have filled up an empty ice cream container with water, taped it up and put in freezer. Then put the entire container in their area but on its lid side down. As I notice they like to lie on top of their hides, it made me think they would love it. It works and lasted ages to defrost. But taped up meant it never leaked. Just stick back in the freezer and if room in your freezer then have a few to rotate

    Also, there are these horrifying parasites called warbles. I've seen videos of bunnies kept outdoors who are suffering from those nasty things, and it's upsetting! It breaks my heart to see these poor little bunnies suffering with them. I believe that pets should be indoors, unless it's a horse, which wouldn't be too happy inside the house. (Just pet proof the house if you let bunnies roam the house, as they do chew on stuff.)

    No sure if piggies would like it the same but when I kept rats and the temp would get too high the common suggestion is to put a flat stone or tile in the freezer for a couple hours, wrap it in a towel and place it in the cage. This gives the animals a cool zone to scratch out that they can also move away from if they want. The tile will stay pretty cold for a couple hours and if you keep a couple in the freezer to rotate out you can always have a cool spot for them.
