it is strange to ask how is it living on this isolated island with a man who has never been anywhere else and does not have any other experience to compare.

Great video. I'd love to know * how are they generating electricity (I saw power lines) * did they use oil? Gas? Biofuel? * I see they have modern things like eyeglasses. Where are they getting that from? * how do they communicate with the outside world? Only 50 people live there? Wow, what a stunning island. I need to have these questions answered.

What in the absolute fuck is wrong with the MFs who keep digging in the plants digestive remains on camera? Every other time, you go to watch something about the nepenthian species, someone pops out of a dumpster just to record themselves playing with decaying matter.

When the lady making the tapa or paper said the missionaries came and the they lost the art and chant that goes with it. It is the same on my island in micronesia, but for us it was tattoo, the missionaries convince the chiefs and people and we lost the art of making tattoos, fortunately we have old black and white pictures of old micronesians with their tatoos so have documentation of the designs however we dont know what our ancestors use to make ink and what the tools they use for making tattoos.

I noticed H. glabra got mentioned twice, once at 6:40 and once at 9:10. Was the first one H. elongata? I would also like to know if golden hairs vs. silver hairs on Heliamphora can be used to identify the species, or if that's just a trait that varies by environmental conditions? One interesting thing is I do see the striping vein pattern on the H. nutans hybrid at 20:12, maybe the illustrators saw a hybrid and colored the stripes a bit more dark than what was seen in reality? I would like to see a H. nutans nectar spoon up close in more detail, as I've seen several pictures of the non-nutans hybrids but it's hard to find an official picture of what the H. nutans nectar spoon should look like.
