In 2020, the Don Hanson Charitable Foundation sent 20,000 Hanson Boxes to schools across the UK and the UK Overseas Territories.
Each 2020 Hanson Box contained an Insect Hotel kit and wildflower seeds to help schools across the UK build their very own Insect Hotel and nurture good bugs (e.g. pollinators).
On 26th November, 2020, the Don Hanson Charitable Foundation's Stewart McPherson undertook a "How to Make" lecture beamed live from Talbot Heath School, Bournemouth and in partnership with Talbot Heath's Jo Brown.
In this lecture Stewart and Jo explain why "good bugs" matter, how we can give them a helping hand by creating Insect Hotels, and a step by step guide on how to build your own Insect Hotel and some ideas and inspiration for decorations!
We hope schools across the UK will enjoy building Insect Hotels and educating students about the importance of "good bugs"!
