This was a rare find! The Pacific Electric PCC cars featured in another action scene from the film Down Three Dark Streets in 1954. Did anyone notice the officer in the scene at the police station? One of his earliest appearances was in the film All The King's Men. He also starred on a syndicated TV show, Highway Patrol; a program that made "10-4" a national catch phrase. He appeared in a CHiPs episode titled "Hustle". Officers Jon and Ponch (Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada respectively) stop him for a routine traffic violation. Ponch goes nuts realizing that he met one of his childhood heroes, saying "2150 to headquarters" and "10-4"! among other phrases said on Highway Patrol. He's not Jack Webb, but still one of our favorite policemen on early TV. If you're not sure who he is, one of the viewers from one year ago should help you out! 2150...bye!

One big advantage the bad guy with the Hispanic-Afro hairdo had over McQueeen was, the bad guy had one of those newfangled handguns -- that couldd shoot off like 28 bullets without the need of reloading ther weapon.

My opinion has long been that if Steve was still alive he'd have been a good alternative casting for a lot-but not all-the films Clint Eastwood has done since the 70s...based purely on his performance in this film🎩
Yes at age 50 of lung cancer which he was a heavy smoker but he admitted after developing mesothelioma after was exposed to asbestos when he was removing asbestos lagging from pipes on a troop ship when he was in the Marines before he became a Hollywood star.
