Bob is an abuser, abusers do these horrible things to get what they want without any feelings for the other person. I felt bad for Sam at the beginning of this episode when he remembered his sister and her first husband that was abusive to her.
I was almost 16 years old when the first episode of the original Quantum Leap came on. I just turned 51 years old on the fifth of June 2024.

He didn’t really do what he’s claiming he did. He drove a once amazing show into the ground. Too much nonsense, too much identity politics, and too much shitty writing.
How Does nearly nobody know this legend
I instantly recognized Cullen not only from his work but also from back in the 90's when we worked at the same place. He's a great guy and a wonderful father! Good to see him! Just started binge watching the show, I was a huge fan of the original QL.

Scott Bakula seems to think, if I understand him correctly, that the way they did QL original series was good for that time but not for now and in him turning down the new QL series was the best thing to do, as the ship of QL has sailed in his mind. What Scott B fails grasp is the very strong desire by QL fandom to have him back on QL and the relevance of that for the new QL series
For Al, he is a kind of a womanizer, if it wears a skirt, he is after it.

It’s kind of funny that the first “personality” that Sam had in shock theatre was Samantha Stormer. I love this episode, mostly for the comedy. I’m a woman, so, I love it when he leaps into a woman, just to see how he will do each time that happens.
Sad for the loss of your friend but this episode was disappointing since it was so little about the new show versus the podcast.

Some theories about Addison's expression at the end: - Cool it with my man, sister - You miss him!?! How do you think I feel? And what I actually think: - Addison is hogging the imaging chamber because she basically clings to Ben, and feels a little guilty that she's preventing anyone else from seeing him.
Oh, I so wish they'd used the ending Dean describes at 59:30. It's so much more satisfying than Martinez not really providing any additional information.

Yes this was a great interview. I had no idea that he was the first that started the new Quantum Leap. I'm also disappointed that Scott Bakula wouldn't return for at least a episode or a season for the fans to complete the series.

23:30. If there is no Waiting Room, then where is the Leapee? When Ben leaps into someone, where does the person he leaped into go? Where do they go?
Ben leaps into and merges with the leapee. Sort of like transporting into them. That is why Ben has the strength and conditioning of the person he leaped into. As the boxer he was strong and fast. As the professor he had a limp due to a war wound and needed a cane.
This was a great interview, some questions were answered. I would've liked to at least have seen Scott reprise his role one last time just to know he's doing ok but overall I'm happy that Sam, Ben and Allison are out there leaping.
This was a terrible interview. This guy makes himself sound like a god when in fact he totally destroyed the franchise with shitty ideas, crappy writing, and a focus on identity politics instead of old fashioned story telling!

i honestly never thought i'd be defending jason david frank over scott bakula, who said of his time on the power rangers series "i would do this for a dollar". that is dedication. if you had asked me to enter this series as "steve mitchell from budget leap" i would have done it. no questions asked. i would have gone there. my fandom of scott bakula is gone now. i am no longer a fan of his. he lost me, possibly forever.

I am never a fan of any actor but always appreciated Bakula for his work on QL And I would read that Bakula wanted to bring back QL over the decades but it was all lip service I assume he declined the show because he wouldn’t be the star of the show. He said as much in his statement “how can you do QL without Sam and Al? Guess we will find out” Thanks Mr Bakula for QL but he didn’t care about Sam Beckett in the end
You are no longer a fan of Scott's because he didn't want to do Quantum Leap again? Have you seen any of his other shows or movies? Scott has done a lot of good shows and movies you could watch him in if you just want to see more of him.
@@lorrainefiel9103 i have. i watched star trek:enterprise and ncis:new orleans. this guy truly forgot where he came from. quantum leap made him huge. he would still be unheard of without it.
@chiefdancingostriche Scott was in 2 sitcoms before Quantum Leap and had done musicals for 10 years in New York prior to that. He had also been on Designing Women. Right before Scott got Quantum Leap he was nominated for a Tony for Romance Romance. Even if Scott hadn't done Quantum Leap he still would have had a good career. Scott Bakula does not have to do the new Quantum Leap just to satisfy the fans. It is his career. He is doing stage work right now, which is his first love. He did the Connector January through Match. He will be in Peterborough, New Hampshire doing Man of La Mancha in mid-August and in September and October Scott will do a one man play about Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theater in Washington DC. I hope he does more TV so I can see him in something new since I live in Oklahoma and don't have the money to go to New York City, New Hampshire or Washington DC. But, even if he doesn't, I won't bad mouth him for doing what he wants to do. I think Scott cares quite a bit about the character of Sam Beckett so didn't want to portray him in a half hearted way. Maybe Scott just didn't like what was written for Sam to do.

while i am working on an afghanistan themed episode of an ender episode of quantum leap, i got some ideas. quantum leap cereal, i would eat that. quantum leap the motion picture. quantum leap the video game. might as well.
I feel like the quality of the original quantum leap was better. Yes it was more simple, but you can't argue with the results. The Original quantum leap lasted 4 or 5 seasons. Also Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell were good actors !!!!! They made the Original great !!

I was 15 and a half years old when it first came on.
The Christmas special, Sam is a 200 pound valet.
Part two of the trilogy of Sammy Jo Fuller, he leaped into Will Kinman in bed with Abigail Fuller, she recalls that night later on and noticed the difference between Sam and Will.
He does that at the end of this series as himself, and she believes him, so they stay married and have children.
I really liked Lee, but let’s Face it folks, you can’t just check cultural boxes to reprise some thing that was so great and admired by so many fans. This is why it only went two seasons. No imaging chamber, nothing from Ziggy, leaping outside of his timeline, just to name a few. This really went off the rails started off with potential, but if you have to check woke boxes for culture applause, you’re going to hear from the people who will applaud it, but it’s the true fans that know…….this was really not Quantum Leap. Not surprised at all, c’est la vie looks like the original still holds the crowning jewel

I just thought about Sam’s second leap where his dad invites him over for Thanksgiving since Sam “can’t make it home in Australia for Thanksgiving”. Then Sam leaps back to his 16 year old self at his home in Indiana around Thanksgiving!

I was very skeptical at first because I loved the first show so much and I couldn't imagine how it would continue. But after two parts I was flashed and an absolute fan because aspects from the old show were brought in, which made the new show seem authentic. I really like that a lot of things are shown in the headquarters, bringing the show to life. Just awesome. That was an amazing interview. Thanks
One thing i dont understand....and dont hate me about this. Her voice sounds male, in the german synchro they use a female voice. So all trans people think " hmmm, when i took hormons my voice change like this"....but this is fake....
