"dune films are good in context of star wars prequels" has gotta be backhanded compliment of the year so far X] i watched part 1 and 2 this year too - appreciated that they were aiming to be spectacle over substance, but couldn't forgive the fact that no one ever looked even a little warm lol ~ carpe jugulum was one of my favs 🦇 but i can't remember even one bit of the story now!

Love the colour complement of your shirt and hair! What a fascinating topic you've gone for, you are always exposing such niche books others don't. I sort of knew of the more racial classist arguments about suffrage, but had no idea about the layers of suffrage and socialism you talked about.

There’s something very pleasurable in being able to identify the “elusive” Mrs that historians give up on. I often cringe when I see the Mrs used as a default in 1880-1950 archival catalogues since these women are often findable, especially if they're from a class that regularly shows up in vital stats or genealogical research.

I'm sorry but as a huge fan of the series and a bisexual man I cannot believe this forced heterosexuality nonsense. This is literally like you walking up to a stranger and telling them you know they are queer simply because you believe they should be.......it's just as weird as if someone said hey that queer couple seems really forced, they must secretly be straight. Who are you to get to tell people they have to be queer?
