    Love the colour complement of your shirt and hair! What a fascinating topic you've gone for, you are always exposing such niche books others don't. I sort of knew of the more racial classist arguments about suffrage, but had no idea about the layers of suffrage and socialism you talked about.

    There’s something very pleasurable in being able to identify the “elusive” Mrs that historians give up on. I often cringe when I see the Mrs used as a default in 1880-1950 archival catalogues since these women are often findable, especially if they're from a class that regularly shows up in vital stats or genealogical research.

    yes so agree!! altho also v frustrating bc u just know there are so many lost :( yeah ur absolutely right !and even worse when it shows up in secondary work published post 2000 imo !!
