📗 let's talk : poor things book vs. film 📽️
i didnt talk v much about the child-ness of the main character & i did that bc i didnt rly want to talk about such an awful subject [to me lol] but that is part of the discussion about both the book & film, im not trying to erase that !
& one thing i also wanted to say about the film that i didnt like was that all the older women are seen as sex-less/ not fucking in some way ??which i think was fucked up, maybe it was a point on how like youth sees older ppl but i just think it was an excuse to be weird about aging women being undesirable [false]

i feel like the movie attempts to give the book’s commentary on victorian and society, but they lack the proper composition in order to make it impact. Too many points were missed in the attempt to make as many as possible
