    We are finding it more often these days, rubbish everywhere. From toilet paper to couches. We use to take a spare bag for other people’s rubbish that we would collect. Now we take several bags. Even the big companies need to do more about waste. It’s great to see so many people involved. Awesome just awesome. Keep up the great work Matt 👏👏👏

    Well done to everyone out there getting their hands dirty to help keep our country and out world beautiful. Im often cleaning up after other people sadly but never more than Clean Up Australia Day each year when I join in with Forestry NSW, National Parks, Local Councils and numerous 4wd clubs to help clean up some of our local bush lands. If we will chipped in we could make a huge difference and show that us 4wder's are trying to do the right thing and look after the place. As for educating others, Videos like this and my Clean Up Australia Day ones or even just showing better behaviour and cleaning up campsites will help but simply leading by example at all times even if you don't film videos. Out with some mates and see some rubbish, stop and clean it up.

    Ya there is about 20 things to think about ive been sidways across a 40 degree slope like thst also but with 245 x75 x16 tyres on a range rover classic auto the main thing i had to think about was ground clearance ie 8.75 ince at the diffs but your ok to like 50 plus degrees tilt ie low centre of gravity

  • @RockbasherV8
    @RockbasherV85 күн бұрын

    Ume my range rover classic auto wont quite do that pritty sure i can drive it in a rubycon problem is a lot of uk green lanes are too narro for it i havnt seen you do any tight roads with no roam for more than 1 ft of side movement 1 ince matters here the rubicon had lots of feet he turned left far too soon i would have gone on right always go easiest way cos sooner or later you will bump into something hard that can not be avoided less damage to truck and the lanes roads also plus you dont look like a idiot

  • @RockbasherV8
    @RockbasherV85 күн бұрын

    Auto is best on rocks and especially in mud as it knocks up and down gears and doesn't lose 10 ft of drive

  • @RockbasherV8
    @RockbasherV85 күн бұрын

    Ya what a mess if the 4x4 only had 1 centre locking diff then you can not do things like this front and rear locking diffs should be baned I did drive range rover classic for 15 yrs and had plenty wheel lifts etc but that is also a safety gard as if you just have centre diff it won't keep driving forward and be put on its roof see my new but old vid from the uk rockbasher Norwegian busmans holiday ( I agree with you)

    You cannot define a thing simply by listing the benefits of the thing. You are still leaving people completely in the dark as to what is actually the difference between high range and low range. I just now bought a four-wheel drive, and I already know that much. High range simply means that the wheels turn more times (or farther within one revolution) for each revolution of the engine than low range. Looked at from the other way, in high range the wheels will spin faster for a given RPM of the engine than in low range. Setting it so that the wheels spin slower for a given RPM of the engine allows you to apply more power and torque to the wheels. But, you have to accept that they are spinning slower. Just for easy math, let's assume that the engine has to spin around 100 times for each one time the wheels rotate, for normal driving, driving on roads and down the highway. Now, you want the wheels to turn slower, and the engine to have more power when it turns the wheels. You do that by changing the gears so that the engine has to rotate more times in order for the wheels to revolve one time. For instance, the gears could be set up so that the engine would have to rotate 200 times for each time that the wheels rotate. That would mean, for a given speed, your tachometer shows twice as many revolutions per minute.

    If the hitch is rated for 5k, wouldn't it be your weakest link?

  • @MadMatt4WD
    @MadMatt4WD4 күн бұрын

    This is the problem. The hitch has no rating for recovery so we can only go on history which suggests they do t tend to fail assuming they’re in good order.

    If there is someone behind the steering wheel, so my thought is the person shell give gas if the battery load is going to low during the winching. I use a 13500 lbs or 6,123 to. Winchmax at my Jimny JB74 and even with 3000 rpm winching my JB74 at a self recovery will suck my battery close to empty.

But that is dumb behavior, and at some point they'll get hurt.

    I would have put some concrete blocks or cribbing down before pulling it off the trailer so that it was not on the ground. I prefer to have them off the ground far enough that I can easily get underneath them if I ever have to do any work on them or modifications. It also makes it easier to remove any pest that I might have shot or poisoned that managed to get under the container.

    Stick with rubber, the poly are good but the most important thing is rubber absorbs vibration pot holes ect, the poly will put all the strain on your actual control arms and other parts eventually cracking your bushing housing on the control arm, overtime your car is taking an unnecessary beating because you have taken away the obsorbent side of what the bushes are there for,,,,, for day to day you are better of sticking with oem...
