    I completely disagree with this guy. First things first. Learn how to mix. Now I don’t know about this guy, but to me that translates into learn how to use your pitch fader and just your pitch fader. Starting out with a controller and pushing that Sync button only hinders and you don’t learn shit. You’re supposed to mix with your ears, not with your eyes. Through the struggle and sacrifice of actually learning the craft comes the gift and inspiration of creativity. So without the struggle, where is the learning? Just like an instrument, do you gotta learn how to play by ear. How are you ever gonna learn with something just doing the job for you? In the you’re whack ass DJ you have no energy and pretty much you’re good as a girl giving a blow job that doesn’t even know how. The ideas in the creativity doesn’t just come out of nowhere. Once you learn how to mix properly the right way you start to think about certain ideas and sounds and things that are next level and very hard to do like lock three records and throw some accapellas and then scratch over that. How the heck are you ever even gonna think of such an idea or such a thing if you are always just pushing a sync button and don’t learn nothing? I’ll tell ya what…. I’ll take DJ SNEAKS word over this tool every single day of the week. Funny I can tell you who DJ sneak is and how many times I seen him play in the last 30 years. I’ll give you guys a quick little drill to help you out. If you know anybody that has turntables because if you agree with this guy, obviously you don’t, preferably belt drives, Grab two of the same records, in the real DJ world this is called playing doubles. Start both tracks at 33 1/3. Then move one table to the +2 position on the pitch fader. Now on the other table learn to match the sequence and how to Swing your pitch. It’s not that hard considering you can see where the pitch fader speed is at. Once you do that a few times when you get used to it, then close your eyes move the pitch fader and match it with the other using ONLY THE FORCE. in other words just your ears. This is an instrument as well in case nobody really realized. This is how you treat your ears. You will learn and understand the sound of unmatched beat sequence and learn the sound of them coming together. When two of the same records are matched, you will hear a natural flange effect. This guy is garbage enjoy

    I have found an used NS7 II less than AUD 400 , I am bit worried about the software support as it will work until Serato DJ pro version 2.3.1 and it is almost 10 years old model. Do you still recommend for NS II. or should consider DDJ SX2/SX3 which works with latest Serato version according to Serato website. please help to to take a decision. I am a beginner and wondering will I miss any interesting feature other than stems

    As someone that used this and a few other vids to get my beat matching right and now agonizes at being even the tiniest fraction out of perfect sync, thank you EDIT: Especially the part about switching to using the snare, made mixing boom bap sooo much easier

  • @DJCroBar
    @DJCroBar2 ай бұрын

    As someone that primarily mixes boom bap, one thing you'll have an issue with are lyrics, a lot of the time there's not a lot of space in the latter part of a record where there's no lyrics, then a lot of tracks start with a vocal hook or straight into lyrics after a bar, making it messy if you go for a long blend, just ends up being cleaner to drop on the 1, or in the case of boom bap I find most of the time, the 8.

    Regardless of rap or any other kind of music, this is the universal language of 4/4 time. Period. If you dance or just tap your foot, this is the foundation for everything. This teacher is excellent in explaining it without talking over your head or being condescending. Very good video! Thank you for providing this!
