The origins of this channel came with a thought. A thought about how one day I will be old and incapable of doing a lot of what I can do today. So I decided to start document things I love to do the most: Flying.
Let me take you along my flights, as we battle unique challenges each day to get home safely and ready to fight another day.
Join me and lets grow this channel together!

I like to to learn how to fly
Does every new pilot goes to endeavor air

More if you count the yoke
I guess I should have added "wheels on the ground"
How? That’s not a steering wheel ☠️
3 wheels 6 tires and 1 what ever you call that little thing😂
🤣 love the technicality

You gotta have a LOT of patience being an instructor/teacher.
Id like to think so 😄
Did you have problems when entering Mexico with your food?
I never went international. The only international I do is to Canada and Bahamas. As long as I declare, they'll pick what I can keep with me and what I can't. It's usually fruits, nuts, and anything raw that they don't like. I'll update you when I fly at a major and go to Mexico!
@@FlyByGarrett Thanks for the answer, I'm sorry I thought AGS was Aguascalientes, Mexico, but I see it's Augusta, GA. I was thinking it was a looong flight for a CRJ. Great video!
so how much did they rob you? 800k? :)
Not my money, not my problem lol I was just picking up the plane for the owner
How much the SR22 training here in south Florida? O how many the hour?
I thought I would watch the first 10 secs. Boy I was wrong. Amazing video! Captain you should moonlight as videographer.
You gave me the biggest smile today. Thank you. I will do my best to keep the quality of these videos on par!
Thank you so much. Good video 👍📷
Do you still have any personal aircraft??
So, the planes weren't mine, they were customer's planes whom I instructed and/or ferried their planes for. They were kind enough to let me record my flights in them.
@@FlyByGarrett well they were good vids. any plans to buy a personal plane?
We just need to get you some veggies in to clear out that oxidative stress (radiation) from flying! Love the videos!
Working on it! Thank you for the feedback 😊
Good job, more cockpit footage would be great!
Noted. Appreciate the feedback 👍
🤯
Loved it!
My son is 1st off at Endeavor. He flies the crj900. Great job. I’m very proud of him.
Wow! how many flights? 3 then 1 DHD then the 5 leg LGA to PIT? seems like a lot. How long was that duty?
Honestly I don't remember how long the duty was. Hahaha. But I do remember it had its long days. We were probably coming up on that limit
Nice flight I love your videos
Appreciate the comment, brother 🙏 🤙🏼
how are you a regional pilot yet you fly with a major airline i.e. Delta
Regional airlines mostly fly for majors
What was the flight time for your trip to Lantana? What kind of TAS are you getting at altitude? Was wondering how the M500 compares to a TBM…
I can't remember exactly what the TAS was in the Meridian. It's been a while. But the Sanford to Lantana flught always clocked in at around 40 or 45 minutes at 7k to 10k feet. The M500 is definitely not nearly as fast as the TBM tho. That is the sports car of turboprops.
@@FlyByGarrett It looks like the M500 may be a bit more roomy and comfortable in the back, not to mention it’s cheaper on the used market… Nice plane… You at Skywest now?
When hired at Delta did they give you a choice of base or did they tell you which base you'd be working? Also the same question regarding the airplane. Did you choose the crj 700/900 or did they tell you, you'd be flying that airplane?
Base and Aircraft are assigned by the company when in the new-hire class. At least in the regionals. In Delta mainline, you put in what you want, and depending on the demand and spots available, you get assigned by the company, but the company ultimately decides where you go and what you fly. Once you gain more seniority, you can change it.
Well done; nice video. Really makes me miss my SR22 flying days, 15 years ago.
What happened? Why did you stop?
@@FlyByGarrettRetirement cash flow challenge not acceptable 😊
I'm a Private pilot out of KORL. would love to fly with you sometimes
I would love that, honestly. I no longer live in Orlando though :(
nice :))
Solid ass IFR skills! The G6 Turbo is an incredible IFR machine. Keep posting up these low approaches.
Very solid instrument approach discipline and skills. Love the way you verbalize your flows and procedures. Look forward to more of your instrument videos … especially IMC and low approaches.
Wow , great video. It’s by far the best IFR video I’ve seen in a long time. Impressive how far ahead of the airplane you are at all times. You dont see that to often unfortunately. My Cherokee is over at KCEU (Clemson airport ) and I fly that Approach often. Have to love the GFc 500. I have dual G5s and the GFC500 and love it. You had mentioned VNAV issue , I still have a 430W , so I’m not able to use VNAV, but I can tell you that even without VNAV, the AP will try to climb into the GS if your power setting is slightly to low. Unless you’re referring to something different ? You also had the pleasure of talking to the cranky Speed demon Tower controller !!! That guy is terrible. I’ve heard Students pilots get totally confused by him multiple times. Actually had a Cirrus turn into me as I was flying the RNAV 1 approach because he misunderstood the Tower. If you’re ever over by KCEU , let me know.
Appreciate the kind comments man. Yeah I wasn't a fan of that guy. I remember one time I flew in there he asked me something, but wasn't very clear about what he was asking, so I asked him again what he meant, and he answered back like I just offended him and his mom. Whatever. I'll for sure let you know! I'm in the regionas now, but maybe I'll get back into the GA world. Safe flying my friend!
@@FlyByGarrett Thanks pal. Fly safe.
how long did it take to go to Philly from Orlando in the piper?
I think it was about 3 and a half hours. Can't remember off the top of my head but thya sounds about right
I’ve noticed in a lot of flight videos the pilots pronounce the #3 as “tree”. Is this an aviation thing or is it an auditory illusion due to the mics?
It's how we pronounce over the radios, yes. Not an illusion. 3 = tree, 5 = fife, 9 = niner.
Good job.
I have a ton of time in 923xj
no “clear prop”?
I may have edited it out or plain just forgot. It was so long ago I can't remember. Lol
Hi, I’m an 18 year old college student at a university studying aviation business. I want to start flying more so my question to you is would it be better if I went and did the Liberty partnership training at an affiliate and finished my degree in Aviation online with an R-atp, or fast track my training and finish a business degree online which I have more credits for already. Thank you love the videos!
You'd definitely get done quicker with your flying if you did the affiliate, if that's your goal. I personally took my time, got my degree at a non flying school and banged out the flight training. All up to you buddy. There's 1000 ways to the same place :)
Good professional crew. Good SA throughout by the PM.
No Way i can hear Lewis Dixon on the radio lol
😂
This is a great tutorial on working the system. Once the electronics is learned, this would be a snap.
I'm so happy this was a useful video for you. This makes it all worth-while. Safe flying!
Great video. would be interesting if you could include times. time you leave hotel, time of first flight, time you get done for day etc.
I appreciate the pointer. I'll keep track of times for my next one!
Thts would be very cool! Im soon to be a regional pilot and I appreciate this video!
is it a full time job? or owned m500?
Flying it was a part time thing, full time pay. If I wasn't flying this, I was flying Cirrus aircraft/instructing in them.
Did you guys consider the turbo?
Didn't really make sense to have a turbo in a flat place like Florida
Surprised you didn’t pick up any ice in the climb out.
Honestly, me too. Was ready for it though.
Garrett, Can you send me your contact info? Are you an instructor?
Good Job! Love the explanations of the instrumentation inputs. It would be good to see more detail (close ups) of the instrumentation.
Have you tried this method in the density irport (>8000ft density altitude), usually is better with the flooded start method
I haven't. Never really taken a Cirrus at that high density altitude airfield before, but good to know about the flood start method for that 👍
I don't know why you're blurring the reg numbers and logos, it's extremely obvious who you work for. It's ok to post this stuff lol
Just in case :) I do have captains who ask to do it so no situation can be associated to them if I accidentally post something I shouldn't have.
