Low IFR Departure | Short Field Landing | Meridian M500 flight SFB - LNA (with ATC audio)
Departing Sanford FL, had some IFR conditions, but broke out as soon as we reached 500 feet and some great views, such as Cape Canaveral, West Palm Beach airport and the beautiful blue Atlantic Ocean.
Landing at Lantana FL, with a short field landing effort, and some birds trying to fly into our propeller!

ATC always says they want to help but when they allow a ground controller to talk that fast when it’s unnecessary, it’s only helping his big fat ego!! Love the videos, like the music just a little to loud.

I was just thinking that. I didn't realize my editor volume was so low which is why I kept it loud. My bad!
What was the flight time for your trip to Lantana? What kind of TAS are you getting at altitude? Was wondering how the M500 compares to a TBM…

I can't remember exactly what the TAS was in the Meridian. It's been a while. But the Sanford to Lantana flught always clocked in at around 40 or 45 minutes at 7k to 10k feet. The M500 is definitely not nearly as fast as the TBM tho. That is the sports car of turboprops.

@@FlyByGarrett It looks like the M500 may be a bit more roomy and comfortable in the back, not to mention it’s cheaper on the used market… Nice plane… You at Skywest now?
I’m ready and the preflight is completed and I got the Pre start checklist read out as I briefly watch all the requirements and temperatures and I got the information Oscar on file to copy Our IFR clearance Garett

@@FlyByGarrett the music ruins the flight experience for the viewer it just becomes a music video we want to hear the plane, engine and everything else related to the plane. You should watch citationmax or priemer1driver for examples. Take care
