@@Loubar87 well, in all honesty it had a small, external head gasket leak when I bought it. Nobody could diagnose it since the water and oil weren't mixing, but the exhaust was pushing all the coolant out of the overflow reservoir. It became a large leak and problem after a few weeks. I had someone do the head gasket job for me since I wasn't comfortable taking on the job on a flat engine, and it ran great for about 3 months after. Either it had begun to burn oil after being overheated from the head gasket failure, or the new seal kit was improperly installed. The inside of my exhaust was very sooty and the bottom of the motor oily, so maybe both? A rod bearing spun on the way home from a beach trip, and I found no oil on the dipstick after I limped it another few miles home. A quality used EJ25D was proving difficult to source, so I went with a rebuilt one from EnginesUS. The '99 and newer parts are much easier to come by and seem a little more reliable.
