liquid rubber is often a good sealant on wiring or conductor wire insolation.. cdi box weather proofing.

If that’s a snowmobile engine, it should have reverse. You just gotta hook up the button to turn the engine into reverse.

You say that the look is importantly to you so I think that you blowing up the led headlights is fortuitous. You can now replace them with ROUND mini headlights just like the original bug would have had😀

If your starter is bottom on motor keep that gas shut off when not rideing gas bleed off n burn up your starter

Mi little 250 Polaris will do that fluid it's self starter is in bottom of motor so gas will go get in starter n it's no good good thing Polaris put a drain plug in the motor bi the starter for easy draining

Awesome looking thing, glad you made it run! The packs on the side are definitely a must it still might be less than ideal. Can you stiffen up the rear suspension? It squats crazy and I think at every bump it will bottom out.

you belt is on backwards the belt has a direction of rotation that is what the arrows are for. Just like tires have direction of rotation you will blow that belt if you keep running it in the wrong direction.

Just a thought, if you hear some weird noises from the engine, not sure if the bottom end has bearings that are greased on assembly they couldve been washed out by the gas potentially casing premature wear, might be something to keep in mind for the future

Why not make alloy feul tanks into to steeps/side nurf bars I'm sure they would work well and would blend in more so you had the clean look back. Maybe add a feul pump so they auto feed to your main tank.

To peg leg or not peg leg! That is the question!! Now, you get to buy headlights and tires. Damn... Is there a good snowmobile shop in the area? If so, the clutches need reworked for the application. Quad angle helix for the drive clutch, along with the correct weights. Then, that thing will haul ass!! With efficiency. This would lower the engagement RPM and the helix will improve the ratio change through the RPM range. Greatly!! Consider that a Polaris equipped with that engine was equipped with 10+ gallon fuel supply. This machine should get better fuel economy since it has better traction than a sled on snow. The sled had a range of ~80 miles. On 10 gallons! Exquisite job, so far!!!
