Thats awesome, now lets see some acro from this camera!
When I get home, I definitely plan on it.
i saw this too in kennedy space center!
I want to kinder ride it because you're a beautiful place
Absolutely beautiful ❤
Thanks brother
Flying in a plane like that beats anything else l have ever done.
Be humble ; live to be old as dirt.
It's a little bit of a handful sometimes, but it's really a blast. So far it's been well worth the time spent building it.
Have you a copy of Gene’s book?
@@longtimepittsowner5589 Spins in the Pitts Special. Sure do. Simplicity that works. 😁
Agreed. It’s difficult to explain to Someone who has say an airline job. You and I both know that without the proper training they would never be able to get off the ground.
Love the song with the video....had me so eagerly awaiting to do extactly that😂
Great job! Love the paint scheme!
Nice Flight Jeremy, I see the strips you added to the ailerons for centering. do you have spades on these wings? cant tell from the video........
Man, those p-strips are a game changer. I was flying with my thumb and index finger half the time. No spades on these. And after the p-strip, I'm thinking I won't need them. The controls are just so light right now.
Whoa I saw a Pitts just like this at oshkosh this summer. Was it you?! Looks awesome.
That was Justin Miller's S1-11-B. A way cooler Pitts than mine haha
Cool
Awesome!!!
Fantastic!
Just curious, @ 0:40 that weld bead on the upper left looks a little sketchy. Love the video by the way.
That's a fabric edge glue joint to the wood wing handhold. Glad y'all are looking out though. I really appreciate that.
I guess everything is relative, but when I saw you in the air the other day, the plane looked much bigger than it is. so much so that I didn't think it was you until I messaged and you confirmed.
It's definitely a small airplane. I think what made it look bigger is that I was flying lower than most people do out here.
Great job Bud!
Dang it’s already been a year! That’s crazy
I'm telling ya bro, the past year really flew by. For lack of a better expression that isn't a pun. Haha
Great!
Man, I LOVE doing those Hammerheads, have only done them in Boeing Stearman flown by an ex RAF fighter pilot, but will never forget them followed into Cuban 8s and aileron rolls. I envy you sir. Blue skies !
I got a little time in a Stearman a long time ago and absolutely loved that airplane. I imagine an ex RAF pilot could do it far more justice than myself for sure. Haha
@@luftwicker07 His name is Peter Lawton and he used to fly Hawker Hunter fighters. He would do those Hammerheads beautifully, where he'd flick the rudder right at that last split second so you could feel that point of "weightlessness" as she'd turn and face the ground ? And in what seemed like a long golden moment, you'd just hange there, and FEEL the warm oily smell engine heat waft up gently and then whooooosh away we'd drop into an amazing pull out. I'm absolutely sure you know all to well that beautiful "flow" feeling when you then combine a whole sequence of manoeuvres ? After we landed each time, after all the high fives, I just couldn't stop laughing and grinning ear to ear. Hahahaha I thought I could see YOU grinning in your vid as you performed those manoeuvres ? ? ? Ps, Does it help having your smoke on as a visual reference when doing loops ? When he showed me, then let me try a few loops, I could never quite get that knack of keeping the wings level to horizon as I'd come over the top ? ? I LOVE your video sir ! EXCELLENT !...........ps on a different occasion I went up in an AT-6 and did some wing overs, rolls etc and the pilot then flew us inverted for some while. Again, kept laughing my fool head off for DAYS afterwards...pure heaven
Outstanding flight!!! Great soundtrack too 👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
Working out the kinks!
Awesome UTube flight & great music, The Who.
This is interesting, I think I can help… I’ll get back with you on this..
This must be CGI
Promo'SM 😜
It’s looking a lot cleaner
Thanks buddy. Veeerrryyy slowly but surely. Tried mixing a few things up yesterday and it was just too ugly. 😂
As the guy who certified this aircraft, I approve!! Very nice
As the guy flying the airplane you certified, I can't thank you enough for your help. Hope you're doing great Arnold.
That was awesome mate getting my RPL had my 1st flight last week fly once a week atm. Can't wait until i get to do some aerobatics. :) Beautiful plane gorgeous. Like the talk thru what you were doing with stick and rudder really helps me.
Outstanding! Good luck on your pursuit and thank you for the kind words. Trying to see what folks want from these videos and I think a little commentary adds to the experience. Looking forward to providing more entertainment on my endeavor to be a better pilot.
@@luftwicker07 You are welcome and any content where you are explaining what you are doing with feet and hands is a massive help. The striving to be a good pilot i am learning never stops it is a constant level to try and achieve. Since starting this it has taught me a lot about myself and my abilities. You can do anything you put your mind to and do it well all it takes is a bit of discipline and effort. 50 years old and only now getting the opportunity to do this. :) Technam Echo Super 24 am training in this 1 atm :)
Heck yeah bro! Love the talk through.
I think I'll do more like this in the future
Awesome!!!😊
Thanks uncle Fred
Awesome! I have 3 RC Pitts Models, they are awesome little RC Airplanes. I love the fact yours is Green, Black and White! All the others ones I have seen at the Air Shows are Red.
I planned on the classic red but the moment I saw the Sport Green paint swatch, I envisioned this paint job and just had to do it.
@@luftwicker07 It looks amazing!
Thank you very much. Took a lot longer than planned to build it, but I'm definitely enjoying it.
@@luftwicker07 Hope you keep enjoying it for a long time! Nothing quite like making a dream come true.
Did you build this Pitts from plans?
Yes I did
@luftwicker07 how was the build process ? Were the plans easy to read? I have a sonex. But my dream has always been to perform airshows in a pitts
@@Sonex825 I'm not too sure if I'd do a 100% scratch built again. It took 10 years and over 2200 construction hours. I didn't have anything to fly while I was building, so scratch building now wouldn't be so bad. It just seemed to take forever. I don't regret it but I wish I would have bought wings and larger components to alleviate some of the work load and time. That green on the Sonex looks good. 😁
Cool to see from an Unlimited IMAC perspective. All the same mistakes happen but you have to feel them I get to see them. I look forward to seeing you get into rolling circles. Just a 1 roll 90° turn would be fun to see. Also Ava, our dads are just as cool. He did aerobatics back when i was your age. Rc Aerobatics would give her some great experience before shes the one behind the stick to get both perspectives.
NICE video.
Wow❤
Wow, that is awesome Jeremy!!! I'm proud of all you have done with your aviation career & dreams.
Nice!
Man your spending more on smoke lately then fuel!! I need to be you when I grow up
Hahaha. This was after I took the restrictor off. I think I need to put a new one on.
@@luftwicker07 what pump do you have on there ? I need to clean my nozzles out or figure out a destructor to take out haha
@@joshdailey777 I have a Holley red pump and a solenoid
@@luftwicker07 that the pump I have although no solenoid on mine
@@joshdailey777 I realized after the first run that it's a bypass pump that keeps flowing freely when it's off. There went 4.5 gallons. Haha
Beautiful Pitts! I love that paint scheme!
An awesome 'kick' warm up is to just hang out straight and level at around 100-110 mph and just do a few level turns... as in, keeping the wings level and using the rudder to turn the aircraft. It gives your brain a chance to develop a little muscle memory before having to instantly create it on a vertical line, when all the available penguins on your iceberg are concentrating on not doing it way wrong and ending up in something crazy (inverted flat...which, by the way, is actually an awesomely fun way to enter that once you're ready for it!! haha). By making a level rudder turn, your hands will naturally move opposite in order to keep it flat. Try that half a dozen times and by the time your next hammerhead happens, your hands naturally slide in the 'close to' right spot. You'll have to do a bunch of them to get the fine tuning down (make the pivot occur on only ONE plane relative to the horizon), but at least you're 'reflexing' yourself into the correct controls. Happy flyin, dude!!
I'm going to give that a shot today
@@luftwicker07 Awesome! Keep the videos coming. Plus those are a great way to critique your own stuff!
Is there an aerobatic box at Craig?
Not at Craig. St Augustine has one but my practice area is over Switzerland, across the river from Reynolds.
Looks solid, you recognized that you kicked early, I heard you say it
It's tough recognizing just the right moment to pivot. Just gotta keep practicing.
looks better than any I can do. Keep it up & fly safe!
Jeremy Jeremy..
Good ual
Awesome!
as cool as it gets! next to a Cobra.
oh yea! someones starting to enjoy their new toy!!!
Oh yeah. Now I just need to practice to be safe and make stuff look good. 😁
That beautiful bird makes me moist. 😉
That's really awesome & cool Jeremy!!!
Smooth…..
