Life with Jack and Nicole
Life with Jack and Nicole
Is there life after loss? What about love after loss? Do you want to visit cool and unique places around the country? How about learning to cook a new dish? Hard to believe, but all this can be found here on this channel. Originally the channel was known as Traveling with Jack and Pam. Jack and Pam were married for over 30 years and traveled to all the lower 48 states while also living in over 2 dozen cities. At a fairly young age, Pam was called to the ultimate destination...heaven in 2019. However, Jack continued moving forward and almost 5 years later was blessed to find love for the second time in life to the lovely Nicole. While they are both from vastly different cultures and on the surface may seem an unlikely match, love knows no boundaries and they will share with you their travels, cooking as well as some tips on how they manage friendship, love and even marriage.

Back to the Basics! 1962 FAA Training Film! kzread.info/dash/bejne/mHet3Midfa2rfsY.htmlsi=39cuPjYS_8FhvbFl
Do yourself a favor: Get a Cessna 150, 152, or a 172 to learn the basics. A Cirrus is a complex, high performance bird and NOT suitable for basic flight training. As well, because it doesn't have a high-lift wing like the Cessna's, it's not very forgiving. Don't be fooled.
Thanks, but rest assured buying an airplane is not on our list of things to buy anytime in the near future. And as you suggest, the Cirrus would certainly not be on our shopping list as it is definitely for more advanced flying and pilots. But thank you for your comments that others may learn from.
Yep! Flying lessons next!
I grew up in St Joe. It was so exciting to go to Townsend & Wall Dept Store. Then we got the East Hills Mall.
First thing in the mornings and last thing at nights are the hardest times for me, when she's not there after 40 years of marriage.
You guys are beautiful. Thank you for sharing a part of your wonderful lives with us. God bless you with His Peace, Love and Longevity. 1m1w
Didnt know you flew. Looks like a Cirrus
@tragedytrousers1769 you are correct , it is a cirrus. We don't fly, it's a friends plane.
My expectations were also not met. I retired to the coast of Ecuador last year with my wife Vivi. We had big plans, she is originally from Colombia and she made evrything so easy for me to live, communicate, make friends here. We bought a piece of land on a hill with an ocean view. We just started to break ground and start building our new house. Well her breast cancer came back and she started to get very weak and sick. She went to the hospital , but not much could be done. I took her back to our rental home in Ecuador and took care of her with the help of a visiting nurse. 3 months later she passed away at home, peacfully in her sleep, me by her side. Now I am still building the new house, completing the dream for her now. I have to be strong and just deal with the loneliness one day at a time. I do believe in God, and Vivi is in a better place now.
We took our kids to Helen Keller’s house over thirty years ago when we lived in Alabama. It was fascinating to see it since we had read her autobiography! Books coming to life forged a connection. Sadly, Helen died in poverty after going on so many speaking tours as an adult. On a different note, we tried to DM you! What is your address? Ageing Joyfully
Y’all so cute 🥰
I lost my beautiful wife 1 year after you lost Pam Jack and you certainly helped me through that deep grief - I can never thank you enough. Best wishes and good luck with your book - you deserve it.
One day at a time for me. My 4 kids keep me on my toes and thats keep me happy.
Moving from 1,800 miles from Michigan to Alberta, Canada in just a couple weeks. Your video was so informative! I really appreciate all the tips you gave.
Supporting this channel to spread to those who need it~
Thank you very much. We truly appreciate the support.
I only tip when I am seated and served...never over 10%...the amount I TITHE.
We happy for you that you wrote this book! Although we have not lost a spouse, we are beginning to lose friends and family in their young 60s! Way too soon! Recently we made a video about us receiving therapy to learn to deal with those losses plus future losses as we are the younger siblings on both sides. Unfortunately the therapy hurt more than helped us and we ultimately got Sammi, our adorable papillon puppy to get a new perspective in life! We hope to read the book one day. As of today, Sammi's keeping up pretty busy! Take it easy, Ageing Joyfully
Thank you so much for these kind comments. We are also happy to hear about the new addition with Sammi! Will Sammi be making some appearances on your channel? BTW, send us a DM sometime so we can connect outside the public forum.
Full service restaurants where they bring you everything to the table should get tips. Coffee shops, self serve fast food places, etc. should not. I also think that coffee shops and other places where they do bring stuff like a coffee or pastry to your table could get like a smaller percent tip, like 5-8%, since they are not providing full service like a restaurant does.
I need to get this. Lost my wife to cancer three months ago, 33 years married, together since 9th grade, 14 years old. My story is very similar to yours. Toughest thing I’ve ever been through but I lost my Amazon account. I’ll have to get one of my Daughters to get me this.
If you are rich you should always tip, we are so poor in our country and we are expected to tip
0. As a foreigner I’ll never understand tipping. It’s supposed to happen only for exceptional service.
I’m from Spain originally and we don’t tip there, or just give a small amount if the service is good. The reason why we tip in US though, is because food service workers get a very small salary and essentially work for tips. In Spain servers get paid a full salary, and don’t have to rely on tips. That’s also why you may notice, in general, servers is US are very friendly and efficient, as that’s how they earn a good tip 😊
Hey Jack; glad to see you are happily married to Nicole. You guys should move to the Philippines. No one tips here and the prices are dirt cheap. You can live live a King on your social security income. I use to live in Conway Arkansas but married a Filipino and made the Philippines my home. Take care and God Bless Yall
I'm from New Zealand (born) I found it uncomfortable tipping in America We don't tip here
I'm with Nicole. Tipping has gotten out of hand. I noticed it during Covid. There was no dine in options for awhile so when you went to pick up your food they would have the tip on the screen. During that time I did tip. Restaurants were struggling and restaurant workers were taking a chance of getting covid by serving you. While it started at sit down restaurants, fast food jumped on the bandwagon as well. Then after covid they just kept the tip on the screen. I work hard for my money. I'm not tipping where I wait on myself and if I get poor service at a dine in restaurant i won't tip there either. 7:10
No tipping if I’m serving myself. I do always tip 20% if I’m sitting and being waited on. My hair dresser, nail salon ect❤
I'm from Medford oregon. We never tip self-service food places, but we do tip places where they seat us and bring our food, and they get extra points for lots of things like checking on us them being nice, smiling,ect.. Love watching all of your adventures thank you for sharing 😊
Man proposes but God disposes.❤❤❤
I used to work on one of these boats. Thwnk you for sharing one of my favorite places we stopped in.
Its been 2yrs for me since I lost my wife to breast cancer. We have 4 kids together and they keep me busy. Right now I have no interest in finding love again or dating anyone. Just me and my kids Im happy with that. Maybe someday I'll meet a woman who will love me and my children but just not right now.
Lots of homeless walking around downtown. They need to address this
I do historical restoration. I absolutely love towns and buildings such as these. We have to preserve history for future generations.
😂😂😂😂😂
We are in Huntsville and it has been very hot, but the humidity has been unusually low though! We want to go to Joe wheeler to swim at the little beach they have there, it looks so nice!
Welcome to Sweet Home Alabama!! I love Florence!! 🥳
A lot of speed traps from Florence cities like Center Star, Rogersville The speed limit drops suddenly and you have to pay attention cause they will stop you.
Welcome to Alabama.. I'm in Athens.
I know that it has been awhile since you posted this. I lost my wife almost a year and a half ago. I have had similar thoughts that you described. I have no intention on carrying out taking my life. I’ve had moments where I thought that if I did, I could be with my wife. I would at least not be lonely. You said that you talk to Pam. I talk to Dee with those same thoughts that you shared. I also write her letters! I do think that she is listening. My best to you Jack! Cliff
I'm going to need to bring more gas money.
Have you two had a chance to eat at one of the Top O' River restaurants? I believe there is one in Guntersville, AL and Gadsden, AL.
I hate the cups at Lizzies too!
Love your video ❤
Nicole is strong!
Try totes way better😊
Thankyou so much. This is great! Researching my trip next March in your beautiful country. Thankyou from Sydney Australia 😊
Pat and Holly no one is leaving Tennessee. You did the most for Women's Sports. It's amazing no one ever mentions it was the games UCONN had with Tennessee which helped them.
Those empty malls are great for walking when the weather outside is bad.
Nice video. Might consider adding the mall you visited to the title.
You’re a good man sir. I realize you have someone new in your life and I’m very happy for you for it. As for me, I’ve been a widower going up four months now to my wife of 25 years .just like you, I had plans to move to Florida and be a fishing bum with my wife .right now, I feel like I’m in no man’s land and just trying to live in the moment rather than the future. Just trying to get my daughter through college in one piece and haven’t quite figured out what I’m going to do from here. Thank you for these videos, I really enjoy them in this time of my not so sure new life as a widower
I have a Grandson in Rwanda. He and his wife and children speak Swaheli, French & English. My Grandson is Jonathan Thaft, his wife is Epiphanie, and their daughters are Ashimwe Holy Blessed and Arera Joly Blessed. I love the girls names. Jonathan is a Pastor and I am trying to help him find a church to sponsor him. They want to immigrate to the US and live here in Decatur, Al. He has a religious Visa good for 10 years, and Epiphanie has a business management degree and also a culinary degree. They all have their passports. Nicole if you can give any advice about immigration and dual citizenship. It would be greatly appreciated. I always enjoy you two! Have a blessed day. May God continue to bless you by his grace and may you know his peace. ❤
I live in Massachusetts not too far from Boston! So happy they won the championship. Great job.
👀Think this maybe same small town in Alabama where Hope and Miss Daisy was stopped 😂
Dash cam maybe good idea for future travel
You may be correct🤣talked with several folks that tell me the town has a reputation and locals know to avoid driving thru there. Needless to say, we'll be avoiding it too!
