We moved to Baldwin Co. Alabama two years ago. We love living so close to the beach.

My husband went home to the Lord 3 years ago. I still miss him terribly and have no plans to date or remarry. But like you, I also enjoy watching Jack experience his new life with Nicole. I'm happy for them and yet I'm very content alone, rather than dating. I still miss my husband too much for that.

@MooJoo it will be 4 yrs. for me in June. I have to admit I still miss my hubby too much to be with anyone else! I do attend a lot of activities for social interaction. I've learned we all have to do what's best for us in this life changing situation. Best wishes to you!

Best wishes to you Jack and Nicole in Alabama. I enjoy your humor and banter from both of you. My wife passed on to be with Christ almost 3 years ago. I’m choosing to remain single but now I’m getting an old jeep to play and wrenching on.

I'm originally from Huntsville. Hope you enjoy your experience in AL. Just know that humidity in the valley is oppressive. I lived in AZ & it was very different, of course, but I loved it. It was more my taste in so many ways. One big change is you are trading sandstorms & monsoon season for tornados in North AL. I hope you enjoy your family & new home.

I moved to the Charlotte area 18 years ago. I lived in Southern California for 50 years, also lived in Phoenix, Tempe to be exact, and while there are certain things l do miss from both areas l think you will enjoy moving south! God bless you both, be safe and be at peace! ❤️

I'm moving back to AZ it's the most perfect weather place in the US in my opinion. I wish you both the best on your travels. I would not live in the humidity again ever : ( People are so sweet in the south but the weather is better in AZ : ) and to me the hiking trails and food is better in AZ too. I am getting a Upak Relocube you might want to look into that or a Uhaul Ubox. Hope you guys video your move for us!

Im a nobody watching occasionally. Your church brought u together. I’m hoping this adventure works. Glad u r close to family but sad u are away from the church where u found each other. I am mostly hopeful that your family is supportive of this new union. It’s wonderful to see you so happy.

Oh wow!! It is crazy 🤪 and haha, we just moved to AL too!!! 😀 I have to say, it is a great decision, we love it here, we are in Huntsville and it is a great place to live. We lived in S FL for years, then in OK, then in NW FL, and now in North AL 😊. People are super nice and all these negative things people say are total misconceptions. We have white and black neighbors where we live, and everyone is nice and gets along just fine 👍🏻. Alabama is a hidden gem, it is a beautiful state, but hopefully it stays a bit hidden as it is nice not to be too overcrowded! And yes, the cost of living is so much cheaper! Welcome to AL!!

We moved from San Diego back east to be closer to family, and it was tough b/c we miss mountains. But we've been here a bit now and really don't miss the regulation or taxes.
