  You know the comic run isn't doing well when the "Hero turns evil" run isn't met with the readers scared or uneasy by the MC going villain, but they're encouraging it. Seriously, I can't name one person who DIDN'T look at this happen and go "Good for him" while it went down.

  Jameson is an asshole, but everytime he’s given the chance to step up and be a hero he steps up. I always liked the moment in the Sam Raimi movies where basically this happens. The goblin breaks into the daily bugle and tries to get Jonah to give up the name of the photographer and he blanket refuses. Despite the fact he verbally abused Peter, when push came to shove, Jonah refused. He’s a good man deep down inside there somewhere. I’ve always appreciated that depth to Jonah. He’s not just a mustache twirling two-bit villain. He’s a complex man who stands up for the little guy. Bro had to be tortured before giving Peter up.

  Batman may have plot armor, but what about fucking Joker? This dude just invents mega viruses and mind control substances? Where? In a dimly lit basement lab? Where does he get all the resources to poison an entire city? No one notices that? Not to mention all of the sudden mega IQ Batman who just defeated the Justice League becomes as unprepared and dumb as a 5th grader the moment he goes to confront the Joker.

  "You're not thirty-two and strapped to a chair" How oddly specific. I get that Bruce is trying to will himself out of the paralysis and all, but why did he focus on rejecting his age along with his predicament? Did the Joker turn him thirty-two? Was he older before? I always imagined Bruce to be in his early forties (at least) or something, what with all the kids he's got running around the cave at any given moment. Idunno, weird thing for me to focus on, but it was weird for him to bring it up.
