Fuck Zeb Wells, fuck editorial. Can we just have a writer who wants Peter to be HAPPY?! Can we just retcon One More Day? It's doable. They don't even need an overcomplicated reason, they're allowed to just say it never happened. We wouldn't be mad. And if they need an in-world reason, I present to you the canon end credits of Deadpool 2....

There’s something truly cathartic about knowing that despite all the bullshit people put him through they expect Peter to always be the bigger person. They act like it’s shocking that Peter breaks and starts doing shit differently when they do nothing but make his life miserable. Peter is literally considered the best of heroes not because he’s the strongest, but because out of all the hero’s he’s the one who’s resolve is the strongest, he is always the bigger person people expect him to be. Which is why it’s infuriating when people villainize him for tweaking out.

I still wonder why the writers hate him so much but Paul should have got some brokers bones

Funny that you say that, there’s an alternate timeline where MJ got shot instead, and Pete ends up killing Fisk, Iron-Man showed 0 signs of giving a F about Peter, because Stark is basically the one who encouraged Spider-man to reveal his identity to the whole world.

Even though Spider-Man was definitely tweaking, we can't act like this wasn't 100% justified. And honestly, this should've happened much earlier. Seeing Peter getting his get back on Mary Jane for being a thot deserves a standing ovation.

Mj kinda did. Miss up but remember, to her Peter was gone for years when she was trapped in that parallel world. So ofc she found someone to stay with. Peter can’t cry cuz this is the Mary Jane that she was supposed to be. Not loyal to Peter, just to be with him for a while. Cuz remember Gwen Stacy was peters true love.

@@RAHAnimated MJ has been known to be very loyal to Peter in the comics. Gwen hated Spider-Man because she thought he killed her father. Mary Jane loved Peter for him. This is her being written out of character.

I stopped reading Spiderman comics once I realized the writers have a torture fetish for the character I get suffering and heroes and blah blah blah, but there’s a point where it’s just needlessly bleak and I don’t care anymore

My idea? Delete one more day from existence and start anew from that point

Thank God, the good Peter is back maybe he can win MJ back come on Marvel give us that give Peter a happy ending if it’s not with MJ or Felicia give him somebody. And then you can make Peter a teacher maybe a high school or college teacher or a scientist working with Harry or Norman if Norman stays a good guy.

Well there are many reasons. 1. He seems to be a self insert of one of the editorial staff. 2. He came out of nowhere and then suddenly got with mj who was a longtime lover of Peter for like decades. 3. The story then began to villainise Peter for being upset about this. 4. The story then went out of its way to make the relationship between Peter and mj worse for stupid reasons. All in all, Paul is a horribly written character. They made the worst excuse for him existing and getting with mj. It also ruined mj’s character as my was known to be understanding and loyal to Peter.

Jeez the fans who like Peter like this are sad! They’re separated for years, she meets someone new, and he can’t handle it so he goes on a violent rampage. Shows how much they care about “responsibility”. And fans cry constantly that “the writers hate SpiderMan” then they applaud THIS?! A guy so bitchmade he can’t handle a little rejection? He never cared about her as much as being a hero anyway. The stereotypes of comic fans being duds when it comes to women is put on full display here.
