I think creators should listen to their fans. I don't think they should do exactly what their fans want.

The new Karate Kid film takes place in New York. No cast members from Cobra Kai are announced except Macchio. I feel like it will be Macchio visiting New York and getting involved with helping some kid learn Karate. The 4th film did that with Miyagi going to a new place.

My thing with Star Wars right now is that they are getting basic stuff wrong. Forget the intricacies of the lore, forget the hardcore fandom, and forget the culture wars stuff. They are struggling with the simple screenwriting and filmmaking basics first. They struggle to present coherent character motivations. They struggle to write compelling dialogue, they struggle with simple character logic, etc. Before we even get to the other stuff we hear so much about, they fail with the building blocks beforehand, so it doesn't even matter anyway. I have watched Shogun and am re-watching TLOU series, and the quality difference is astounding. Whether it is studio interference, subpar talent, or something else, Disney needs to read a damn stroytelling for idiots book before they make anything else.

The sequel trilogy made less money with each release (the 1st made 2 billion, the second made 1.3 and the final made just over 1 billion) and cost almost double to make (the reported budgets are between 300 and 400 million per movie). Dune 1 and 2 combined cost under 400 million for production, and they are on an upward trend at the box office. In comparison, Star Wars is in an awful place and downward slide, not just quality wise but financially as well. When you take into account Dune Part 2's box office vs. its production budget and the last Star Wars Trilogy film's box office vs. its budget, it likely profited at a very, very similar level.

Honest review and I enjoy westerns. However, I'm not at all recommending this movie. I just watched this and it was HORRIBLE. 3 hours of complete disappointment. It severely lacked a storyline, three characters were forgettable and it was so poorly dragged out. There were movie giers that walked out of this. Save your time and your money. SKIP THIS. After the reviews of this film, they may want to cancel the part 2 being released this August. I wish we could get our money back. I was even disappointed in Kevin Costner's acting in this.

Well the only real question is will Star Wars actually make this date. Dune will for sure. If Star Wars somehow pulls this one together, no doubt Dune will move.

Last two months have been all House of the Dragon for me.....skipped watching the 1st season until 2 was getting close.....did the same for a lot of GOT too. Skipped Seasons 1-3 then binged.... watched 4 week to week...skipped 5 then binged, for 6 and 7 I waited till the week of the last ep to binge the seasons... and then 8 was week to week. Show turned out to be so good I almost needed the binge. Dont't know if I'll be able to avoid spoilers for that long anymore so I might be week to week with this one for the rest of the way. HOTD is great...and for me at least its about equal to GOT at its best....I don't think any character has reached Tyrion level yet for me, but they are making up for it with the depth of quality in the rest of the cast/world.

Kennedy clearly listens to the fans. Rise of Skywalker showed that. She gave something to every fan group. Reylos got their kiss. Never Reylos got their Kylo death. Luke took a shot at the lightsaber toss in Last Jedi and so on.

I think the fact the show is taking its time to build towards the big battle scenes will pay off and when we get those episodes ,we will be more invested. Similar to episodes Blackwater and Watchers on the wall in Seasons 2 and 4 of the Game of Thrones. Comapre this to the battle episodes in season 8 where they rushed into them and were ultimately unsatisfactory episodes.

Star wars is star wars. The trilogy each made a billion. And this is the newest star wars movie in freaking 5yrs. Dune and star wars are catering to same crowd. This move is perplexing. No matter how much Dune will make. It would have made more without competing.

Oh friggin Rocha! Joachim played Commodus! Who CERTIANLY DID NOT do a lot of good for Rome. IRL He was an AWFUL Emperor and a buffon. He's only famous for his ineptitude and being his fathers son. He was murdered by his own gaurd and no one cared. Richard Harris, who played his father Marcus Arielius, was IRL considered one of Romes greatest Emperors. And is to this day is still studied as an even greater philosopher.

The final scene was easily my favorite scene of the season so far. I was frustrated in the first season when the whole conflict started because of a contrived misunderstanding. This scene completely fixed it for me, where it becomes clear that the misunderstanding wasn't really the point, it was just the match that started an inevitable fire.

Rhaenyra not being recognized in King's Landing makes sense. Common folks do not know her face. She has been gone so long. We have Instagram, Twitter, and social media in our times so it is easy for us to see a famous face and associate with a name. In their time, even famous people weren't known by their face to common people. So yes she just needs to hide her hair and no one would recognize her.(Targaryen hair is a giveaway) Makes perfect sense. The Kingsguard are new, drunk, and wouldn't recognize her. Also I am locked in on this show.
