  I think the biggest argument against Shiera = Quaithe is the same as the argument against Daemon = Coldhands: she's mentioned in the books like twice in passing and only once is by name.

  Having more magic in HOTD might have given it more of a unique identity as well as supported the lore of dragons being the source of all enchantments and spells. Not to say the focus shouldn't still be on politics and people, but more of those folks couldve easily been sorcerers, hedge seers, wannabe dragon mages, etc. There were magical elements at play in George's writing during that time which could easily interact with the continent-spanning dance of dragons. That's about the only thing this article made any kind of sense on lol

  If it is an age list, then it's correct. As a power rating definitely not, Hotd showcases (much better than Got) that dragons are different, they have different shapes, qualities, growth rates. I mostly disagree on putting dreamfyre so high and caraxes so low, as caraxes was thought litterary from birth to be aggressively bloodthirsty, and an incredible fighter, which is proven later with taking down vhagar, dying about an hour later, all the while being half the size. And dreamfyre, while old just isn't that powerful, she's described as slender and fast instead of fierce and big. Vhagar, Caraxes and Vermithor are the strongest Dragons at the time and while most of the people in the show think vhagar is the greatest weapon, caraxes is not that far behind.

  interesting however we also need to account for being in captivity as the dragons grow more in the wild which would explain Dreamfyre and her relatively stunted growth to her size, whereas Vermithor is on Dragonstone with significant liberty in comparison to Dreamfyre, which is likely why Vermithor is eye wateringly large in comparison to Dreamfyre, this can make our calculations even more precise if we take this into account if we take into account Vermithor being on Dragonstone since the death of The Conciliator we have 26 years outside of The Dragon Pit which would allow significant growth along with King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne often travelling on royal precessions we have a large portion of Jaehaerys rule spent outside of The Dragon Pit so with this in mind we can also include generously 1/4 of Jaehaerys' rule to expediated growth which would come out to around 55 years and dividing that by 4 we get 11 years and 3 months of again expediated growth putting the bronze fury at an extra 37 years and 3 months minimum of unimpeded growth rather than supressed growth which is what Dreamfyre had to bear all of what is said about Vermithor also applies to Silverwing in some way and i have not done research nor do i remember enough to say for certain anything that may differ but will altogether produce a similar size so i would personally put Dreamfyre at a 6 due to this phenomenon of captivity suppression and retain Vermithor at an 8 as well as Silverwing staying relative to The Bronze Fury himself TL;DR Vermithor and Silverwing are big bois because they arent in captivity and Dreamfyre should probably sit at around 6 because her growth has been stunted becasue of the dragon pit whereas the former duo have had much less time in captivity
