2023 Model 3 long range owner here, i live at 11-12k feet up in the Colorado Rockies my car is parked outside all night all winter i do have some issues getting into the car when its really bad ice covered by snow or just ice and -40/-50 the battery range loss is noticeable but i dont drive too much when its bad outside since you shouldn't be on the road anyway as little as possible. the AWD system is amazing i have and still drive my 07 subaru impreza with 280k miles and that is the gold standard for AWD for me and the model 3 AWD is right there with it the weight plays a big part from what ive noticed in helping winter tires really grip. overall if you dont plan on driving over maybe 175 miles in a day things work great. PSA/tip buy a $30 windshield ice cover and shut it in the drivers side door and let it drape down over the door handle and shut it in the door by the handle and that will prevent 99% of the door handle freezing issues if you have any to begin with.

I would be curious to know about charging efficiency, meaning how much electricity do you pay for versus what makes it into your actual car battery. The efficiency isn't 100% because some energy is lost to heat during charging. The car's efficiency that it shows you on the trips menu only give you the driving efficiency, and does not seem to take into account the energy used for other things or lost while idle. For example, my M3 lifetime efficiency says 216 wH/mile, but if I look at the app for how much I have charged it says 2660kWh over 10,914 miles. That comes out to 243 wH/mile

I haven’t driven that many luxury vehicles. The closest thing I’ve driven is an Audi A6 that I had for about a year. My model 3 feels just as luxurious as that Audi. Again, not a rich guy not have I driven many luxury cars but I really don’t like when people say Tesla’s aren’t luxurious. It feels like it is to me, but maybe growing up poor makes me feel that way, and now that I can afford these cars I do feel like they are luxury vehicles. I don’t know 🤷‍♂️
