Hi, I came here because I recently bought A Steam deck oled, and my goal was to put every major Silent Hill title on it, impressively I made it work for now! Maybe you need to do a quick recap one year later of how this franchise runs quite smooth on the console (:

Recently found your series via the Spiderman video. I've been meaning to play Ape Escape on my deck (started it on PS1 back in the day but never finished it) Subscribed and liking your videos, you should do Resident Evils, Bioshock, GTAs, Mafia, Final Finantasy & Metal Gear Solid

Actually for the PC version of Spiderman 2002, I've managed to get the game working on the Steam Deck by using a cd crack version, then changed the compatibility mode to proton experimental and that's how I got the game to work.

Shattered Memories now works almost flawlessly! Using default pcsx2 settings to apply patches, and full screen ect. (So I'm not certain what fixed the issues present in your video) Using power tools to turn off SMT, not sure if leaving it on actually might improve performance as I initially tested this in the worst case scenario settings after watching this video, and wanted to come here to update you! Pcsx2 is its most latest version, and the emulator is running this at 3x resolution. SteamDeck settings is, cyroutilities recommended, UMA 4gb, underclock -40mV across all. 1200mz manual clock lock. 60fps lock. 15watts. I get practically a flawless 60fps and am an hour+ in so far and no artifacts, other than shadows being extra pixelated. But that's probably just the emulator/PS2 base graphics. There are FPS drops and stuttering, but only when going through doorways briefly, and at the start of the game when the street gets overrun by the icy sheet the frames dropped during that period down to 40ish, and went back up as soon as the in game scene finished. When running away from enemies the input lag isn't noticeable at all, imo. And the FPS drops when going through doorways doesn't actually affect the gameplay experience overall. So far I'd give it a good 8.5/10, possible a 9 if there's no other major drops I experience. Even the cop car sequence is flawless. No frame drops while driving through that moment. No crashes, yet either. Super happy, was concerned after watching your videos as I had spent all day installing heaps of rooms and using your videos as reference. Didn't realise Shattered Dreams was a remake essentially of the first game and never played through them. So I was upset when you said this didn't work. As I wanted to start off on this one and work my way through 2+3 afterwards and then play the original PS1 version.

I'm emulating PS2 Max Payne 1 on Steam Deck OLED. It's pretty much amazing. Upscaled it to 720p and with 16x antroscopic... whatever. It's not perfect (heavy slowdown when there's more than 6 enemies firing on-screen), but it looks crisp and sounds great. No crashes so far, and I'm at the point where Max has his drink spiked. Thankfully I've got MP2 and 3 PC versions, so looking forward to seeing how they run.

Xemu is just demanding compared to the others and the drivers that steamOS uses for steam deck causes visual issues. In some games. You can get ingame for burnout 3. You just need to drive the menu blind. When ingame it looks great but since the game is demanding it’s a bit rough to run currently. This might change with the upcoming Vulkan backend. Performance issue also was partly because on that old of steamos you need smt off.
