I would say neither party is in the right in regards of the first story, if there are multiple seats that are empty you could also move over to the empty seat. The knitting lady’s reaction was also not warranted and could have definitely been better

They only thing is i am a almost 30 year old woman with austim and adhd and get overstimulated easily i also crochet most of the day and use it also as a way to stim but if its right nwxt to me my peripheral vision is really strong and can bother me to the max if things are loud it makes a difference. so I'll try not to sit next to people either. But if I am I'm too respectful all kind of overpay attention and check out to see how other people are feeling when ive done the same but not just even at a concert i was at a restaurant finishing my outfit and the same

As an autistic crochet/knitting fiend, I have definitely worked in inappropriate places and had friends and family tell me to put it away 😂 My dad practically swatted it out of my hands at a funeral. I listen when people tell me to stop!

11:27 even though i am crocheting atm i do side with op completely in this story: Ps: i never had an experience in a folk show nor ever been in a place where someone knits/crochets publicly or could do so, so be aware of that. Personally, bc nobody in my town does that publicly, i would find it odd, but i eould be respectful and would try to be kind❤ 1- I tell this story a lot and i am going to use it rn, despite it being a visual thing and not a sound: i am in a dancing school. One show, my group and i were entering from the left side and it was almost pitch black. I could see the floor of the stage, my groupmates, but barely the audience. I looked to my right side and there was this 70 yr old looking lady on her phone. The light looked like a white bubble coming off her and she distracted me for a few moments bc i felt like i couldn't look away. It was visual confusion lol. I understand that you don't want to pay atention ALL THE TIME to a 2hr show, however ppl these days need to have more theatre etiquette. 2- i value the fact that if you are uncomfortable about something, VOICE IT (politely, of course, you don't know what someone is going through atm). And op was sssooo hesitant to do it, showing that they understand the person despite not kniting. Not just that, but op seems to be a generally kind-hearted person and many ppl would have reacted way worse to that kniting lady. The lady ended up having an unreasonable negative outburst instead of apologising. I would be embarassed and moved a seat over or stopping because that way i am polite and show that person that i care about them❤ 3- pay atention to the artist. I never went to a folk concert so i can't say much more about this though😅 but one of the responses really said that, as an artist, they may find ot offensive and, given my experience with the lady on the phone, i can understand how these things impact the artists. Anyways, plz don't hate me. If you disagree and want to say why, plz be kind and respectful. I will do the same for you❤

i knit very rarely, I like crocheting. I really hate needle sound 😆 and special when i knit socks. About the other story, i kinda understand that dude, it's really fresh relationships when everything is still new and boiling and dude wants contact. I know that some people drive crazy if you do 2 things at the same time: if you talk to me, please talk to me, coddle or whatever. People who can't to do 2 works at the same time, don't understand how others can do.

Loved the texture of the yarn but hate the way the colors change. I bought Inclusivity and ended up making a hexi cardigan. It ended up looking very... chaotic.

I wouldn't crochet a wedding dress even when paid and with plenty of time. A wedding dress is such an important thing, especially when you'd need to replicate another one from a picture. There are so many ways that it could go wrong and not end up exactly how the bride wanted it, giving a bad aftertaste to her wedding memories, I wouldn't trust myself with that task.
