Great video! ‘Aww, it’s just a big ole’ trout” so sad. 🥲 Hilarious. So many fish! Ive been fishing for trout in the Uinta Mountains my whole life. I live in Kamas about an hour away from Strawberry. I’ve caught a few big Cutthroat in Strawberry, and that was awesome. I’ve caught Coho and Chinook salmon off the coast of Oregon, and that was awesome. But, I’ve never caught a Kokanee. And I want to! Goal for 2024: Kokanee salmon. 👍🎣 Thanks!

Great haul! And I love your teamwork. I live in Utah, and I used to have a place in Monroe. I’ve caught plenty of trout here, and caught some salmon off the coast of Oregon. 😮 But I’ve never caught a Kokanee. Now, I want to catch some Kokanee! 🎣

Have tried to for Kokanee the past five years at Fish Lake with limited success. Where did you find most success just out in the middle going north south or side to side? Would love to learn more about your trip. What did you use to tip the hooks on the hoochies?
@KokaneeAddictFishingАй бұрын
Every trip is takes about a day to figure out where the Kokanee are. We start by putting poles from the surface down to about 40 feet and once we find Fish that want to bite it or start marking big schools, target that depth and area. We tip our lures with gulp maggots, or corn scented with garlic. Good luck!

Worst POS EVER !!, If the battery goes dead, which it will if left alone for a couple of months.. it WILL NOT START, you gotta take it apart... WHAT IS THE POINT OF A GENERATOR THAT MUST HAVE A GOOD BATTERYT TO START !!! POOS NEVER buy these modern piles of krap again.. looking for a good old fashioned generator w a MAGNETO !!

Thank you so much for the detailed explanations. One question: Does the first 50 feet line stay at the same level as the weight? I get that the second half of the line should be 50 feet, but why is the first half 50 feet?
@KokaneeAddictFishingАй бұрын
Yes it does. It’s to give you plenty of line to be able to safely take the weight off as you’re reeling in the fish.

I have this generator and just got a trailer with the LPG outlet. Maybe a silly question, but why can't I (or shouldn't I) just bypass that big blue box adapter thing and just go from the RV straight into the generator?

Are you stacking rods on your front downriggers or running long lines or pulling planer boards? I couldn’t tell. 6 lines in the water is intense!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎
@KokaneeAddictFishing2 ай бұрын
We were running four poles on four separate downriggers and two on the planer boards that morning. Six poles can definitely get exciting, especially when you get multiple hook ups at the same time!

That’s amazing. I’ve never caught one from the bank. I would think something like a spinner would work the best.
