SOMETHING ABOUT HIM 🤤I know he's taken but I can't help it 😩My guy knows how to dress too; seeing his outfit change throughout the manhwa was something 👀 Honestly... I'm not sure if you'll like Ana Huang's books 😭😂The male leads are questionable... and sometimes a little too rough. I do think that the 2nd book in the King of Sins (King of Pride) is her best. King of Wrath is spicy, but as the name implies... he's definitely a do-first, think later kind of a guy 🫠 I'll most definitely be re-reading it soon as an audiobook 😭I MISSED OUT. I should've done it the first time around!!!

Thank you!! Really just had to do with putting down books I didn't enjoy and then reading ALL THE GOOD BOOKS. AHH Part of Your World & Yours Truly was something else 😩🧡 I'm still trying to get to Just for the Summer but gotta get through these library loans 😂 OK, I do... but the higher they go, the more arbitrary they kind of get. The first 3 spice is pretty much secured: 1 🌶 has romance, and closed door. Basically fluffy scenes & all that good stuff 2🌶 there is smut scenes but it's very top level. They aren't particularly graphic, and in the novel there's probably at best 1-2 scenes 3🌶 multiple smut scenes, or a particularly explicit scenes with more graphic details. There isn't much though (still thinking at best 3-4 scenes) 4🌶 smut is a heavy part of the book, could even say that it is the focus of the book. Almost everything is graphic 5🌶 I don't think I've ever encountered something that I'd categories this fully lol; but basically all smut no plot, or bordering onto something more extreme

I need the cute stupid brothers -- they authors do include them (eg. Villains are Destined to Die & I think the other brother in How to Win My Husband Over is supposed to be??) but they don't get enough spotlight imo lol. It's usually just focused on the more annoying one and I can'tttt 😭I'm just waiting for the next couple of chapters because if his ass isn't grass, I don't want it.

I think the fact that your average ratings are so high is because you chose books you know you’ll love and put the ones you didn’t to the side, which is fantastic! And for the July wrap-up, I’m expecting stats on your sleep schedule as well! 😂🦉 As for synopsis, I think you could add in short ones, especially for the ones that aren’t as well known, but I like hearing about your thoughts either way! Sometimes it gets repetitive hearing everyone reciting the same synopsis as well, and it’s so easy to look up these days. But I think having a basic understanding of what the books are about makes your thoughts come across more clearly as well, so it’s a fine line! Love the realization though haha “I’m not really talking about the books” 😂

Yesss! I'm so glad that I'm willing to just stop reading books that aren't sparking joy anymore 😂But already, my July has a couple that will tilt the scale down a bit because I knew it wasn't going to be 4 or 5 ⭐s -- I just am a completionist so I had to finish them. You don't want to see my sleep tracker 💀I believe my fitbit categorized me as a dolphin aka only half of my brain is ever asleep. Yesss! I didn't even realize it until really recently as I'm watching yours and other's people's videos... and I'm like.... have I just been giving unfiltered analysis without even letting people know the general gist of the book??? ESPECIALLY for the manhwa/manga ones??? 😭😂 My brain is most definitely quite scattered this past week due to my cold (?) or whatever has been going around.

The stats are a huge part of my reading experience so I just want to include it for anyone who enjoys them too 🥰 Something about seeing the numbers make me so happy 🤣 I highly recommend the Percy Jackson series!! It definitely has a lot of a youth feel to but it still managed to be fun and exciting. I was pleasantly surprised because going in, I didn't have high expectations 😅 I cannot wait to see what you think a bout Not in Love. I hear so many mixed reviews (but rightfully so... because... it's something else alright 🫢) And YES, I can't believe I have waited SO long to read Abby Jimenez's books because ??? I've been missing out on SO MANY DIFFERENT JOYS IN LIFE. I have Just for the Summer on my cart, and hopefully I'll be able to get around to it soon (before the summer ends 🤞🤞)

YESSSS. Kindle reader on top 🔥🔥 Portability makes everything SO much better. I want to read both on my Kindle & my physical book but that's $$ 😩 I really wished that they allowed us to "rent" a kindle version for free for 5-10 days if we have a physical copy but there would definitely be too many people who'd take advantage of it 😅 In a fair world, I guess. AHHH, hearing you say that makes me so excited to read it! 😍 Thank you!! I also plan to try something fun with a TBR in July, but I'm like you, I'm very much of a mood reader, and I've been struggling to get much reading done lately, so we'll see how it goes. Ugh, I'm useless in the heat, I feel ya. I'm getting nervous about getting into the summer months and the potential heat waves they will bring 😅 Last year, we still got into the 30°C well into October which is *not normal* for where I live.

Not an original idea but definitely inspired by a lot of TBR games I saw on KZread 😂I have a HUGE backlog of books and feel like if I don't do something like this... I'll end up sticking with romance for 90% of the books. I'm a pretty big mood reader too so I'll probably only roll for half of my normal reading amount (~4 -ish books), and fill in the gaps with other books for mood. Ahhh 😩Yeah, hopefully it'll get better soon but I feel like we're hitting record high every other week. I've been mostly trying to stay cool and indoors but that just makes me sleepy lol

I was happy but also hella side eyeing everyone. I’m the same when it comes to uploading. Skipping or delaying videos was really hard, but I had to keep telling myself I’m doing this for fun. 🤔 I’m convinced it’s the perfectionist in me that’s the source of the guilt. 😫 as a corporate girlie that went through a huge take over.. YESSS. I have a hate/love relationship with MTL but I gotta do what I gotta do and eat the crumbs where it exists. Luckily it's serialized by Tapas so there was an official translation since... uhm, the MTL is a little weird sometimes 😂 I think it has to do with localization & styles of writing that's different from KR vs US. I think just reminding myself that it's for fun is the biggest thing. But definitely harder said than done 😭Honestly, my favorite part is chatting on the videos with other people HAHA. Well, honestly, the book isn't suuuper focused on the takeover. It's more like a subplot if anything. There were some pretty relate-able moments in the book like "Neither of us have the mental constitution for job insecurity" 😭We also had a similar thing happen to use a couple of years back too! Some private equity firm bought out the company and all the shares, and then "trimmed the fat" and resold us lol. The stress during that time was 🥴 Luckily this one has a happy ending, and not really about the takeover itself.

And if we'd gotten 50 or so more pages to see the dynamic between Eli's coworkers and Rue because I think they get along so well! It's probably because I always love the friendships she writes in her books I could go for endless chapters of them just hanging out! I got some shinies but no hundo here 🥹 I put in a lot of effort for this board so I hope it works out for me 😭I'm almost the same as you, a big mood reader but I love seeing people's TBRs and planning around it. This month hasn't been SO bad for me but definitely not without getting side tracked 😂I really cannot wait for Just for the Summer. I managed to get the first 2 books from my library and I was HOOKED onto Abby Jimenez's writing. But I'm mainly hoping for crumbs of Jacob and Bri 😂 Yessss, I wish there were more scenes of the friend group as a whole. Probably repeating myself at this point but if she focused a little more on the dynamics of the relationship/friendship/and the plot, I think it could've been a solid read plot-wise! But it seems like she wanted to go into a different pool of genre so 😅 Definitely not an expected read for sure. Not sure how I like her rapid changes in genre -- I think I'm probably going to hold off on pre-ordering the next book... And OF COURSE! I was SO hyped for your Not in Love vlog; sad that it wasn't it for you but still thoroughly enjoyed watching you read it 😍

I think with the changes and her being one of my favorite authors, I'm curious to see what she does with it all. It's the tech brain getting to me 🥴 I don't think I can normally consume most things without it being sped up anymore and it's definitely bad because I feel like I don't take my time to enjoy things 😭 I've been trying to figure out what book to make him read but no luck currently 😂 Percy Jackson is definitely out of my reading comfort zone but I'm pleasantly surprised -- kind of feeling like reading again as a child. I can't wait either for the TBR game! Definitely took some inspiration from you, and you pushed me to make one since I was on and off about whether or not I should do it. I figured I wouldn't know how much I like/dislike it without trying 😂 But of course I'm a little extra and made a whole board game to go with it. But I saw my friends dice and I HAD to do it!!

@@itsmimiduong I watch things sped up sometimes too! But I know what you mean, it’s hard to calm your brain down sometimes. Try not to add pressure to watch things slower just because it’s “better” though, that will only stress you out more! Just do what works for you 😊 Have you both read Piranesi? I’m reading it right now and it’s somewhere in the weird in between of everything! I’m definitely going to make my boyfriend read it, and I think he would like it. It has some fantastical elements, I guess you could say, but perhaps a bit more intellectual than PJ (haven’t read that, but you won’t feel like a kid reading this 😂) No spoilers if you have read it though 😂 I’m a mood reader at heart too, but the tbr helps with my indecision! (Except during filming haha) But if you feel trapped by it, you could always do it as a pile of possibilities and choose more books than you think you’ll get to, and just have them as options! It’s so fun, wether you read the books or not! 😂

Honestly... if you like more smutty books or ones with less fluff, Bride & Not in Love might be for you 👀 Her other books are alright but definitely caters more to fluff, slow build up kind of romance.

Bride is *technically* not ABO even though a lot of people say it is 🙃😅Maybe it's the wattpad girly in me but I think it plays more on the *fated/mate* trope than it does ABO even though he's technically an "Alpha" but I felt like her definition of it is in the most literal sense... where he's the leader of the pack lol. I’m all for miscommunication but the amount in Love on the Brain drove me up the wall 😭 like pleaseeeeee spend 10 minutes properly communicating to each other 🙈 I haven’t read Love Hypothesis yet. LOTB made no sense to me whatsoever. Bee was actually densed lol. He literally tells her that he's interested in her romantically and she's just like, "nah FWB" HAHA. I think Love Hypothesis is probably just an OK read. The only one I'd truly recommend is Love Theoretically so since you got that read, there's no need to rush to read any of the other books 😂

Wait what!!!! I’m so impressed by your memory. I’m lucky if I can remember a character’s name once I put the book down, and you’re out here remembering the DETAILS! I have only read 2 of her books (love hypothesis and love on the brain). I completely agree on your reviews and opinions on them. The ending in LOTB was SO RUSHED and unexpected. I was listening to the audiobook in 2x and genuinely think I got whiplash from it. I’ve been wanting to read Love Theoretically since it was published and I think you just convinced me to prioritize it !!! ❤

😂😂 I think most of it was just from journaling. Most of my books I have no idea about the plot once I'm done. Though I have to say, LOTB was SO bad I remembered it 😭 I had no idea what happened with that book because??? nothing made sense?? Especially the ending. I DEFINITELY think Love, Theoretically is by far her best book even though she came out with a lot of books in between. I feel like she might be publishing it a little too fast... so no pre-order yet for me... But when you do get around to reading Love, Theoretically, I can't wait to see what you think about it!!

Love Theoretically was the best by a landslide for me, it's the only one i actually desperately want to re-read (following me re-reading the love hypothesis after giving it 5 stars and bumping it down to a 3😭it also got me back into reading romance and just books again in general but it did NOT hit the same the second time around for me) As someone who also likes reading ALL of an authors books if i like them, i might give a video like this a go! I hope you do more of them because I loved this!!!

Thank you!! Really just had to do with putting down books I didn't enjoy and then reading ALL THE GOOD BOOKS. AHH Part of Your World & Yours Truly was something else 😩🧡 I'm still trying to get to Just for the Summer but gotta get through these library loans 😂 OK, I do... but the higher they go, the more arbitrary they kind of get. The first 3 spice is pretty much secured: 1 🌶 has romance, and closed door. Basically fluffy scenes & all that good stuff 2🌶 there is smut scenes but it's very top level. They aren't particularly graphic, and in the novel there's probably at best 1-2 scenes 3🌶 multiple smut scenes, or a particularly explicit scenes with more graphic details. There isn't much though (still thinking at best 3-4 scenes) 4🌶 smut is a heavy part of the book, could even say that it is the focus of the book. Almost everything is graphic 5🌶 I don't think I've ever encountered something that I'd categories this fully lol; but basically all smut no plot, or bordering onto something more extreme

I think the fact that your average ratings are so high is because you chose books you know you’ll love and put the ones you didn’t to the side, which is fantastic! And for the July wrap-up, I’m expecting stats on your sleep schedule as well! 😂🦉 As for synopsis, I think you could add in short ones, especially for the ones that aren’t as well known, but I like hearing about your thoughts either way! Sometimes it gets repetitive hearing everyone reciting the same synopsis as well, and it’s so easy to look up these days. But I think having a basic understanding of what the books are about makes your thoughts come across more clearly as well, so it’s a fine line! Love the realization though haha “I’m not really talking about the books” 😂

I want to read both on my Kindle & my physical book but that's $$ 😩 I really wished that they allowed us to "rent" a kindle version for free for 5-10 days if we have a physical copy but there would definitely be too many people who'd take advantage of it 😅 In a fair world, I guess. YESSS. I have a hate/love relationship with MTL but I gotta do what I gotta do and eat the crumbs where it exists. Luckily it's serialized by Tapas so there was an official translation since... uhm, the MTL is a little weird sometimes 😂 I think it has to do with localization & styles of writing that's different from KR vs US. I think just reminding myself that it's for fun is the biggest thing. But definitely harder said than done 😭Honestly, my favorite part is chatting on the videos with other people HAHA. Well, honestly, the book isn't suuuper focused on the takeover. It's more like a subplot if anything. There were some pretty relate-able moments in the book like "Neither of us have the mental constitution for job insecurity" 😭We also had a similar thing happen to use a couple of years back too! Some private equity firm bought out the company and all the shares, and then "trimmed the fat" and resold us lol. The stress during that time was 🥴 Luckily this one has a happy ending, and not really about the takeover itself.

Try not to add pressure to watch things slower just because it’s “better” though, that will only stress you out more! Just do what works for you 😊 Have you both read Piranesi? I’m reading it right now and it’s somewhere in the weird in between of everything! I’m definitely going to make my boyfriend read it, and I think he would like it. It has some fantastical elements, I guess you could say, but perhaps a bit more intellectual than PJ (haven’t read that, but you won’t feel like a kid reading this 😂) No spoilers if you have read it though 😂 I’m a mood reader at heart too, but the tbr helps with my indecision! (Except during filming haha) But if you feel trapped by it, you could always do it as a pile of possibilities and choose more books than you think you’ll get to, and just have them as options! Sorry I hadn’t dropped all my thoughts 😭 crazy week!! So here goes…for some reason love hypothesis was getting on my nerves 😭😂 idk why I think I don’t like the age gap as I told you before but also when you brought up miscommunication. I was like yep that part did irritate me..
It made me feel like just what you said. She could’ve just told him. And I feel like it wasn’t a testament of growth of their relationship. Like just share it and let it all be out there. You know. But I did like them together a lot and I’m a STEM girl so it would go before 3 for that reason 😂😂😂

And yeah, FOR SURE it would've been a lot lower if it wasn't like the first book I picked up in a long time... yes it has scenes that had me giggling but like the ending... ugh, y'all are adult and what the other dude did is SO wrong... at least report it to someone else in HR

I’m all for miscommunication but the amount in Love on the Brain drove me up the wall 😭 like pleaseeeeee spend 10 minutes properly communicating to each other 🙈 I haven’t read Love Hypothesis yet. Ooof. BUT Love, Theoretically was my first Ali Hazelwood book 💞 I’m so glad it was because if Love on the Brain was the first… I don’t think I would’ve picked up the others lol
LOTB made no sense to me whatsoever. Bee was actually densed lol. He literally tells her that he's interested in her romantically and she's just like, "nah FWB" HAHA. I think Love Hypothesis is probably just an OK read. The only one I'd truly recommend is Love Theoretically so since you got that read, there's no need to rush to read any of the other books 😂
Wait what!!!! I’m so impressed by your memory. I’m lucky if I can remember a character’s name once I put the book down, and you’re out here remembering the DETAILS! I have only read 2 of her books (love hypothesis and love on the brain). I completely agree on your reviews and opinions on them. The ending in LOTB was SO RUSHED and unexpected. I was listening to the audiobook in 2x and genuinely think I got whiplash from it. I’ve been wanting to read Love Theoretically since it was published and I think you just convinced me to prioritize it !!! ❤
😂😂 I think most of it was just from journaling. Most of my books I have no idea about the plot once I'm done. Though I have to say, LOTB was SO bad I remembered it 😭 I had no idea what happened with that book because??? nothing made sense?? Especially the ending. I DEFINITELY think Love, Theoretically is by far her best book even though she came out with a lot of books in between. I feel like she might be publishing it a little too fast... so no pre-order yet for me... But when you do get around to reading Love, Theoretically, I can't wait to see what you think about it!!
You're SO real for this rating!!! Love Theoretically was the best by a landslide for me, it's the only one i actually desperately want to re-read (following me re-reading the love hypothesis after giving it 5 stars and bumping it down to a 3😭it also got me back into reading romance and just books again in general but it did NOT hit the same the second time around for me) As someone who also likes reading ALL of an authors books if i like them, i might give a video like this a go! I hope you do more of them because I loved this!!!
I'm still over here refusing to re-read Love Theoretically & The Love Hypothesis because I KNOW TLH, I'll be bumping it down closer to 4 😭 Because just from my memories alone, I remember feeling like Anh (her best friend) ridiculous attempt to get her to show PDA. And yesss! You most definitely should 👀 That'll help me decide what books to prioritize from whatever author you choose 😂
The love hypothesis is also the book that got me back into reading even though I only rated it 3.7! So this book will always have a special place in my heart
I think I would've definitely rated it a lot closer to 4... if I reread it, so right now I'm just refusing to do that 😂 I don't want to ruin my mirage of the 5 ⭐
