I might attempt something similar when I'm not being eaten alive by assignments 💖 You're so right about names, I literally look up the character name lists for fantasy books I read via audio because otherwise I'm like WHO??? I am literally ECSTATIC that you ended up liking the Cruel Prince in the later chapters!! it IS really slow at the start (and not the best) with all the build up, but it really picks up and then The Wicked King is just everything hitting the fan! I think it's easier to enjoy the first part on re-reads because you actually already care about the characters and can be invested from page one, but I also remember getting into a reading slump the first time I tried to read it so I 100% agree! Also I didn't know you were a fellow gamer, I feel like we have such common interests haha 🥰🥰🥰

I'm so glad I pushed through; honestly thanks to yours and another person's comments on IT GETS BETTER. Because it really does -- the last 30% of the book had me HOOKED. I can't wait to see how The Wicked King goes. I think once I finish the series, I'll definitely give a reread (instead of the audiobook... because that audibook probably made the journey to finish it worse lol) Ahhh! @@itsmimiduong a little TOO much time reading perhaps, but i have no regrets! I'm glad it ended up being true for you!! I truly ate up that last 30% like my life depended on it when I first read it! And I know people often say 'it gets better!' and it DOESN'T, but this is one of the cases where I would urge people to at least finish The Cruel Prince because usually if they like at least the third act of TCP then they will LOVE The Wicked King, and if they don't like the entirety of TCP then it's safe to say the series is not for them! Absolutely, gamers rise up!! 🥹 sometimes I go through phases when I obsessively read and don't really game or obsessively game and don't really read, but it's nice when I can balance the two (AND balance my uni work hopefully haha!). 100% I've already got so many great recommendations from you, so glad we have similar tastes!!

I need the characters to truly hate each other so the romance can keep me on my toes 🤭 You being a gamer and a book girlie is THE COOLEST. I would say the cruel prince is pretty close to true enemies to lovers but the first book so far is all enemies 😂 of course included is "but he's kinda hot tho." Ahhhh, thank you but also you -- I saw your IG post about yourself and 🥹 my girl crush because everything you do is so 🔥HAHA, I was like, "should I just include this?" because I wanted to be like the OG YT days. But I HIGHLY recommend that shampoo if you have a scalp build up or one that flakes but not necessarily because of dandruff but because of dry skin! It's kind of tingly and feels really good especially when my head gets itchy. And thank you sooo much 🥰 This vlog was perfect that it came when I decided to start my vlog 😂 The King of Sins series is just all billionaire BFs that are possessive ✨The third book is whatever though, I feel like he didn't have much redeeming qualities. omggg thank you for stopping by 🥹 I got the Mr. Wrong Number from you, iirc! But it took like 7 weeks to come in through libby 😂 I loved the book so much but then the ending just made me irrationally mad 💀! Their banter, and interaction was so good but then that ending happened and I was just like 👺👺👺 HAHA, thank you so much! One day my bookshelf will be full like yours 💕

I love a cozy reading vlog~ I’m the same! All I do is work, read, game, and crochet. I love the new bookshelf! If you look closely at my shelves.. they are a little janky too 😂 I ended up DNFing Just leave me be cause it was too predictable and while I liked the art I wanted more. I’m glad they kept the same artist for the full way through. Lately it feels like they switch the art teams after the first season and the styles are so different I have to check if I’m reading the same story.

I figured I should finally build one to store my collection that I'll slowly grow LOL Yeah, 😩it wasn't bad, the art was good, but it was super predictable and kind of bland? Yes, I almost don't want to continue reading when that happens 😭 I'm such an art snob so when I like the art, I like it -- and I don't like change. This little section is the only space I have!! I'd try to make a shelf wall to wall if I could. At this point, I should just commit to drilling in shelves into my apartment since i don't think I'll be moving. 🥹

Love the new bookshelf! I'm glad that the end of The Cruel Prince picked up for you! I keep hearing really good things about it but also for some reason I'm nervous about it. I do want to try it though!

Thank you!! I have high expectations for The Wicked King now that everything has picked up. I would say The Cruel Prince might be a book that you have on your night stand and read a little every day -- I found it really hard the binge the first 70%; hopefully you have a better time reading it than I did! Can't wait to see what you think about the book 🥰
