So, it would seem that this play is building up Henry as *Will's* foil. rather than Eleven's. I think that this is definitely something we will want to keep an eye on, especially when they confirmed that WIll is going to have a huge focus in Season 5.
Probably the best breakdown of the play I can find on KZread lol I also agree how making the mind flayer the reason he’s evil can contradict his explanation in the show but hopefully it will be cleared up in season 5
I think Robin will get pregnant accidently from Murphy, because she stopped getting birth-control on a farm.
Condoms where used though so there would be no 'accidentally' the only way that would happen would be if Ryan interfeered with it which is why it stressed me out lol!
Primeval is not so long gone. It depends on your social peers. Guess you are very young judging from your voiice. So that might be the main reason for your a bit off assumption

LOVED it!!! And I don’t understand the “no romance camp” eitherrrrr….it was OBVIOUS from the start that these two are headed towards each other. Oh and I read fast too (I read the books, not audio and didn’t manage to watch the show when it was still available in my geography 😢) and I completely agree with how physically uncomfortable the last few chapters get with the deliberate lying by omission around vital clues 😒😒
I spent so long re-going over Strikes chat with the killer because I couldn't work out why he was telling them so much 'stuff' before I clicked that he was stalling for time :/ I really hope you manage to see the show because it's like seeing the story from an entirely differeny perspective <3
@@FandomHype So...I did watch the first season...but this was long back and I hadn't yet read the books yet so the show kinda slipped out of my mind. (Sorry, Strike! 😭) When I went through all 7 tomes in a span of a couple months ..i realised how badly I wanted to watch the show but by then the show was retired from the platforms we have available. I managed to find only Troubled Blood. I agree it shows a different perspective and I'd love to watch all seasons now. 🤧

Sadly it was entirely my own fault, I saw the spoiler warning and all three of my braincells made the decision to click anyways! I haven't yet but I plan on making more Strike/Ellacott re;ated vids because they haunt my dreams ;) x
It doesn't make sense. The upside down is due to ..... How does Henry connect with the upside down? I'm afraid Jungian psychology about the "shadow" doesn't justify the upside down. Either the upside down is real or its just a psychological pretext. It can't be both. Find another plot. This one is basically the plot of "Lost". A whole lot of smoke and mirrors, with interesting characters but no coherence.
I'm hoping they explain it and it actually makes sense, I don't want it to be a J. J. Abrams and his "mystery box" method situation here but that is my fear going into S5 :/

I mean they have to have filmed a Netflix released version or will very soon . I think they would release it before s5 comes out . And so this retcons or was always intentional(?) saying Henry was in fact possessed by the mind flayer/entity from another dimension. I wonder if the duffers didn’t like the fans reaction to Vecna being the main villain instead of TMF. I honestly didn’t like him being the main villain , I liked the lore and mystery of TMF
If they don't put it on Netflix they are missing out so it makes a lot of sense! I could be wrong and they meant for TMF to be the big bad all along but a lot of people came away from S4 thiking it was Vecna like I did so if that was their intention they foreshadowed it badly :/ Or it's meant to be a 'twist' in S5 maybe?
Idk what's better, a new series or just an end season 6 which could mean that the story ends after getting renewed instantly.
I mean I'd take both! I don't think ITV marketed the show very well at the time, bringing it back with a little bit of effort they could have themselves a franchise :/
it might have been more of a tribute reference to Astounding Stories, which was the first (I think) serial magazine of science fiction ever. 'First issue 1930ish

I honestly love this series very much; I know it's not Harry Potter, but that's the point: it should be enjoyed on its own merit, and once you get past that, then you're in for a wild ride! I enjoy the dynamic Strike and Robin have, and I love how much they grow as characters throughout the series. I expect the very best from this series, and on JKR'/Galbraith's part, it delivers. I cannot wait to see what mysteries they solve in the future
Yes these are the first mystery/crime novels I have really loved! My only complaint is that there are only ten books planned, I really think they could go on for years and years <3

I like how they make Henry more like will I love the story and I’m hoping we see patty in season 5! Henry is tormented just like will the mind flayer just successfully controlling him also patty is just so loving for Henry it’s kinda sweet
They were so sweet! It Irked me a bit that they changed Henry's back story but it was for a better version so I'm all good with it <3
@@FandomHype at the end when she was with her mom and saw the lights flickering she didn’t get scared so I’m hopping that means she still really deeply cares for him but fr what they changed for his back story is amazing. He’s just tormented by the doctor to unlock his rage and have the mind flayer take over. I definitely feel for him. He is deep down a good person bc he saves patty’s dad and patty and he also says upfront he doesn’t want to kill people it just they broke his mental state so bad that he changed

He's just a little guy! 😂💯 I've seen the play twice and can confirm you've done a brilliant job of telling its story. And yes, Louis McCartney deserves all the awards, and Ella Karuna Williams does sing like an angel. The casting for everyone is perfect. I was a bit lost the first time I saw the opening scene and later figured out I was supposed to Google "Philadelphia Experiment" whilst waiting for the curtain to go up. I know there are inconsistencies (did Henry create the Mindflayer like in S4 or is it a separate entity that possesses him?) But, counterpoint: At the play you can get ice cream from Scoops Ahoy.

I really hope Netflix records the play and puts it on Netflix. Especially if it's canon to the main series. It's like paying for a $800+ season. XD

There are rumours that they are going to air it on Stranger Things day and that they recorded it when they did the trailer footage but I'm not sure how true they are. The show is also going to broadway. I'd be willing to bet that they'll open more shows elsewhere and maybe even do a touring show because it has been such a hit!

Bro. The cliffhanger ending with Sara as the director of TLP... It's KILLING me... The character building of Sarah was one of my absolute favorite parts of season 2.
One of my favourite shots from this show is when the MDR team is huddled together after the Dylan bite incident. It's nice to see them actually touch. (Also I'm sure there's a mention somewhere in the show about a woman whose innie got pregnant at work. Perhaps when Mark starts that fight with the anti-severance kid?).
The pregnant woman is a story Outtie Mark is watching on the news in episode... three? If memory serves :)
I think that that accidental overdose is true but Gilespie makes some sense. There might have been someone who SUGGESTED to her she killed herself...and she did. THAT Whittikar, Charlotte, or Gilespie would do.
On one hand I want it to be Whittaker because then Strike is correct but I also think that might just be too easy and I really hope Charlotte is not involved ... for reasons I won't say incase you haven't read the running grave yet :)

I've never heard of it but Google tells me that the charecters in that send messages back in time to change the past whereas in LP the "machine" loops the entire world back to a set point when engaged ... so ... no?!

I'm not actually, the disease that wipes out humanity trope has been used since ... Science Fiction began? It's maybe hitting you as tiring because we've recently had to experinece an actual pandemic but it's a mainstay of the genre :)
Pandemic was mentioned only in the first episode and never again after it, because that´s not what the show is about. It was basically just a narrative hook that introduces the protagonist to Lazarus Project. After that, the plot focuses on completely different things.

Primeval was a great show. It was shame what happened to it but it had a good 5 series run. I believe they should have continued it for another couple of series. If they didn’t do they rubbish spin off show and did series 6 they would’ve have got more series.
ITV have a potential franchise just sitting there doing nothing, would love to see more of it!
@@FandomHype The problems started after series 3 when ITV went bankrupt and they cancelled it. Not just Primeval but a lot of shows where cancelled and sadly Primeval was one of them which would have been a disaster if they did cancel it there after that cliffhanger at the end of episode 10 of series 3 I would have been annoyed because I hated how our beloved hero’s got trap in the past. I know people say they the next 2 series were not good but I disagree with them. I thought they were amazing and they were needed to continue after that cliffhanger.

@@FandomHype yeah I would say it was ITVs financial trouble that cause the problems. When they revived the series in 2011 Primeval was given another chance, they made a deal to show series 4 and 5 in the same year. Series 4 was on ITV and Series 5 was on watch and then they repeated series 5 on ITV in 2012 before New World started. Honestly I thought they should have focused on doing series 6 and 7 first before doing the spin off just to see how the show goes and if it goes on for long and they don’t cancel it again then they could have done the spin off. New World. That my opinion anyway. 😂 I feel it was Primeval New World is what got the show cancelled for good.
A good show, didn't like George's character that much. He destroyed the world to save a girl that would drop him as things got tough. The show, showed her personality from the very first episode.
Exactly! George simped through out. Even after she married someone else, he still simped.
I laughed so hard when she dumped him though lol!

To be fair, in episode 1, George was suddenly acting like a crazy person and was scaring Sarah. She even says "I don´t recognize him anymore, it´s like he woke up one morning as a different person", tells him he needs professional help, and that everyone is worried about him. She was even told George was probably just trying to push her away. She couldn´t possibly have known about time travel back then. And I think the show did a decent job of criticizing George´s obsession to be with Sarah. In season 2, he and Sarah have a couple of conversations about "fate" and were they really destined to be together like George seems to believe.
