Idk what's better, a new series or just an end season 6 which could mean that the story ends after getting renewed instantly.

I mean I'd take both! I don't think ITV marketed the show very well at the time, bringing it back with a little bit of effort they could have themselves a franchise :/

Primeval was a great show. It was shame what happened to it but it had a good 5 series run. I believe they should have continued it for another couple of series. If they didn’t do they rubbish spin off show and did series 6 they would’ve have got more series.

@@FandomHype The problems started after series 3 when ITV went bankrupt and they cancelled it. Not just Primeval but a lot of shows where cancelled and sadly Primeval was one of them which would have been a disaster if they did cancel it there after that cliffhanger at the end of episode 10 of series 3 I would have been annoyed because I hated how our beloved hero’s got trap in the past. I know people say they the next 2 series were not good but I disagree with them. I thought they were amazing and they were needed to continue after that cliffhanger.

@@FandomHype yeah I would say it was ITVs financial trouble that cause the problems. When they revived the series in 2011 Primeval was given another chance, they made a deal to show series 4 and 5 in the same year. Series 4 was on ITV and Series 5 was on watch and then they repeated series 5 on ITV in 2012 before New World started. Honestly I thought they should have focused on doing series 6 and 7 first before doing the spin off just to see how the show goes and if it goes on for long and they don’t cancel it again then they could have done the spin off. New World. That my opinion anyway. 😂 I feel it was Primeval New World is what got the show cancelled for good.

I love this series and I have seen it all. The u.s remake got canceled when it only started. sucks becouse I did want to see more.

I really wish they would make at least some more books of the series. As books of doctor who are just the perfect thing to waste an afternoon in & I feel like they could do the same with this show. Either that or Big Finish they practically will make anything like Lady christina so they could revive it that way. Like Andrew lee pots wouldn't be hard to get for it he sounds like he still loves his role. Not sure on other actors but I'm sure you could get enough for a few audio dramas based in the time between seasons 3 & 4 from either Conor & Abbey or Sarah & Beckers sides or even Danny's or maybe some things that differed in the universe after it changed giving more character to leak & showing how the events differ with the arcs creation & all that. Might need to replace actors for voice acting but you could also do it in books. I hope we get some more content for this. I also wouldn't mind a retcon of the finally & seasons 4 & 5 they have some good episodes but like I'd rather have a great season 4 & 5 that does the whole events that cause the end of the world thing better as the end well it ain't the best. Season 3 had a perfect end that could allow it to be picked up or left same with New world from what I remember it causes a endless time loop & it feels well contained.

I would love some official novels but if the IP owners aren't up for that then it would be nice to see some fans go the 'Fandimodium books' route. If you don't know who they are, they were a group of Stargate fans who started their own book company and got licences to make Stargate novels when MGM and co had no interest in doing so. Anyway to get more Primeval content would be awesome!

@@FandomHype Yeah the main time periods I'd like to see would be Extra events we didn't see on TV. Events that differed in timelines adding to the fact that it wasn't just claudia gone, Leek exists & Jenny exists. Then I'd like to see some of Helens explorations in the future, past & present the things that shaped her into believing that the human race must be ended to save the planet. I would like the TV shows end to stay the end of books & maybe follow other groups like the ARC that'd develop across different countries like New World implies they could do something with this. The time between seasons 3 & 4 as i stated in the original post as well as one following Danny & his brother & the other people lost in time. I'd like to also see more from the human time periods & also explaining people like evil lady in season three forget her name. I'd also like some from other men like Leader guy season 4-5 as well as some about the future at least the things that we see the aftermath of throughout.

I pretty sure that Hannah Spearritt and Ben Mansfield and Ben Miller would still like to come back for their roles. I think they where interested coming back for series 6 before.

​@@FandomHypeActually there are official novels which are even considered soft canon (at least the first one Shadow of the Jaguar is) There are four books in total which I can recommend and I think at the beginning of this year a new one (this one being based on Primeval New World though) titled The Ascend came out but I'm not so sure about that one And I have to agree the concept of the time tribe (bunch of people lost in the anomalies) was a very interesting topic with lots of potential the series completely abandoned for some reason after the episode they were mentioned

It was good.

I do sincerely hope they bring it back no doubt it will start somewhere stupid and not in previous story line sadly but as long as it gives us the same quality as what it was that we all enjoyed then I for one would be happy and I hope everyone else would be happy with it also.

Primeval is not so long gone. It depends on your social peers. Guess you are very young judging from your voiice. So that might be the main reason for your a bit off assumption

I was involved in the Fandom when it originally aired, even travelled down to a meet up in London and sadly nobody I know talks about it anymore :/
