Not Quite a Chateau DIY French project
Not Quite a Chateau DIY French project
We are Tony and Jane, living in the middle of France and renovating a group of buildings which used to be an old Relais de Poste or Coaching Inn. Follow us as we discover interesting bits of history around our property and town. We start to bring these old buildings back to life. We repair, restore and reuse what we can of the old buildings. We design, decorate and furnish rooms. We redesign the garden and courtyard. We travel around exploring the area. We visit our friends' Chateaux and explore those too. We visit local shops markets and Brocantes, flea markets. We show you our day to day lives and our progress as we go along.

Your starter looked very tasty!
I watched that lightning and all I could think about was you should not drive home in that!!
Hi Diane, it had moved away by the time we went home x
Hope your both ok xx 😘

10.8.24 You must be on a holiday in UK 🙂
Just lots going on at the moment Steve, back to vlogs soon xx
@@notquiteachateaudiy ……… I wonder sometimes what you both do all day, sitting in those French Bars and relaxing in your garden. I mean you’ve hardly done any restoration since you got there 😂😂😂 🙂
Getting worried about you. You have been quiet lately. Hope all is well with you.
We're fine Amy thanks, just very busy at the moment xx
When are you gonna get some chickens and maybe some ducks?
Not for a while yet Roger, maybe next spring x
💜💙💚
I’m catching up so late to the party!! Seeing these two chateaux I can see how the Gorgeous Denise and Brett bought theirs . The epitome of a chateau to me. I too would be tempted by the one near Patrick and Stuart because they are so lovely. I could bring my sewing machine too. Plus of course we would be near you and Tony.❤❤❤🤣🤣🤣👏👏👌👌👏👏
That would be fun Susie, would you start a youtube channel too?
@@notquiteachateaudiy not my area of expertise I leave it to you young ones. I can turn on my I pad and watch that’s my limit🤣🤣🤣🤣

The green bean tart was absolutely delicious! Thank you for bringing it. And the salad was sooooo elegant and tasty. Now, everything you cook is yummy! Just saying! 🥰😘🥰. Those skies were something else, weren’t they? The video of the fountain with the lighting videos that you took were phenomenal. Thank you for another wonderful evening. ❤😊❤
I am happy that everyone enjoyed my starter, the rest of the meal was delicious too and we had great fun as usual xx
The starters look great Lady Jane :) I would do the beans rather than zucchini as I am allergic. But feta and others would be delicious too. I hope you are staying over would not want to drive back in that.
Feta sounds great! The storm died down before we left xx
That was such a fun evening! And your starter was amazing in every way! Thanks for another lovely video!
You are so welcome Ron, it was a pleasure to meet you and to feed you!
@@notquiteachateaudiy You and Tony are so wonderful. Hope your trip went OK.
The recipe looks delicious. I bet asparagus would be a good substitute! ❤
Oh yes good idea, I love asparagus and have a tiny bit in the garden
Jane your food looks as lovely as ever. I do love a good thunderstorm. The courtyard looks amazing with the fountain and even more spectacular when the sky lights up. Another great video. Love to all x x

👍🏻! I just realized that you haven’t shown your kitchen, is it done? ✌🏻💞😊
Not yet Lynette it's going to be a bit at a time, don't worry, I will show you as we go along LOL xx
Jane, the starter you made looks so tasty, we love green beans, this would be a lovely recipe to use complimenting the greens in a new manner. We learn so much from each other. Glad you all had a most enjoyable evening, take care. Kind regards.
It is unusual to use beans but it was yummy x
Wow that was some storm!!! Love your starter recipe Jane. 😊
Thanks so much! Marilyn😊
Thanks for the starter recipe. It looked delicious Jane. I hope the weather conditions are not too hot. In the Netherlands 🇳🇱 it is 27°C.
Hello Y, it has been 35 degrees today, phewwwww
Dear Jane the entree dish you made, and took to dinner looked delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spanish beans, double cream fresh, or heavy double cream , mixed with seasoning and balsamic vinegar. place on top of prepared Puff pastry, turning sides in on the two rectangles, then place the beans on an angle over cream mixture Then sprinkle with Parmesan grated cheese and cook, Then place a slice on each person's individual plate with baby leaf salad including eat able flowers on the side of the plate. Perfect starter dish Jane. Wow .....the dogs knew some terrible storm was coming ,animals know...............
Thanks Lesley-Anne
Do you all have tornadoes??? They can be dangerous.Be careful.Do not stand out in the yard when it's lightning. 😮 Getting worried there for a few minutes. After all I am from oklahoma. Tornado alley.
We do have small ones sometimes but luckily we are not tornado alley Raynona
