Not Quite a Chateau DIY 259 - Tour de France Special - Just yards from Chateau de Colombe -
The route for the Tour de France, stage 10, was at the end of the road leading to Patrick and Stuart's Chateau, so they hosted a lunch party and then we all went to see the spectacle...

We are Tony and Jane and we are living in and renovating our old Relais De Poste/Coaching Inn.
We live in the middle of France in a region called The Berry.
We have over 40 rooms to renovate so there is plenty of work to be done. We also love to trawl the local Brocantes, flea markets and antique shops for quirky furnishings and furniture.
We love to find out about local history and often visit other peoples buildings including our friends’ Chateaux.

Dear Jane and Tony Dear Patrick and Stuart It was sooooo exhilarating and thrilling being there sooo excited of the special moment, when the bicycles Tour de france. went by, us it was overwhelming, the helicopters, the cheering, the beginning of the race with all the sponsorship floats, I have never seen that before, and all the other cars and support teams and the replacement bikes it was truly wonderful being there so close to the riders .I live on the other side of the world in Australia, so Thank you for the video of this special bicycle race

🚴🏼🚴 Jane, Your Vlog made me very very happy today❗️ What fun to watch! 🚴🏼🚴
I’ve been watching the Tour de France on TV for 20 years. I’d love love love to see it in person. Thanks for filming. Some helicopters film and other ferry big shots around each day to watch the tour. Each team has to carry extra bikes for each rider fit to their specifications. Since this was a flat stage the bikes stay together in a peloton to keep out of the wind. Remember these men are riding every day for about 3 weeks. Each stage is different. It’s the greatest sporting event ever.
I really enjoyed this episode Jane, Patrick and Stuart are the best. Thanks for the slow motion clip of the cyclists, at the end, they looked fantastic. I do love the rural environment ❤😊
That was wonderful Jane! It was so nice to be there on the side of the road with you all. I watched Patrick and Stuart's video as well so I really felt a part of it! Thank you!

He was for sure. And friendly. And his wife and 8 month old baby were also adorable. Hugs from Colombe.
You look so pretty, Jane. That hat suits you so well. I love hats and wear them often. Thank you, again!!!

@@notquiteachateaudiy I think you looked extra lovely. It gave Tony another chance to show off his young wife.😉
To me this is so familiar,a chair and a drink is al you need to see the caravan and the cyclists. Next week starts the biggest event in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.The Four Days March. Then I will sit and watch the people walking, the distance of 50 kilometer a day.
My son did crew…we took hours setting up tents and food drinks for seeing one minute of the races
Wonderful! Hope you got lots of freebies.
Talk about “drafting”! Scary how close they bike…a wedge into the wind
That was fun. 😅😅😅😅😅
💜💙💚
Jane and Tony - Thank you for giving me a slice of France, while I am in the middle of the country of Kansas City, Missouri in the middle of the USA and Home of The Chiefs!! You both ROCK!! Love what you do - Keep on Doing it!
Great video loved it❤
BEST WISHES TO YOU

What a wonderful day out! I thought that was a water bottle that flew at you guys 😮 im glad it was a hat and no one got knocked out ❤
That was such fun Jane! Rikki Biermann, Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦
I’ll assume this is not the first time Tony’s taken a nap in a ditch. Looks like a good time was had by all. I believe there’s an app you could have followed the cyclist on to see exactly where they were.

There were a lot of hats, keyrings, sample packets of detergent, haribo sweeties, mini dried sausages, bottle openers, tea cloths, wrist bands, mini crackers, cans of orangina and non alcoholic beer, shopping bags etc.etc.
