i’d rather spend an extra hour at my gate than an extra hour at home stressing whether or not i’ll make it through customs and TSA in time.

I only trust printed boarding passes. I never use any apps for anything, and not interested in seeing what it tells me. All I need to know is the gate number. Not hard. If it changes, I move. All info on my flight is posted already, like gate number and whether it is on time. Also, when a flight lands, I make it a point to sit in my seat until I am the last person on the plane. That way I can relax and have a nice solo walk off the plane. Do not understand the people that stand up crowded in the aisle for 10 minutes before they can move.

Lot of delays nowadays. Almost all the time internationally including US ! And European airlines don't try to speed up for lost time, they are horrible. Probably climate BS. Qatar, Emirates etc are much better on this and also US flight companies.

Tip....use a pillow case instead of a plastic bag for extra clothing you wore instead of packing it. I can put the extra clothing in the pillowcase, so I have a pillow to use on the plane.

Sequins. Avoid sequins. I had a wonderful soft long-sleeved light weight t-shirt hoodie with a silver and gold sequin owl on the front. After going through the x-ray body scan I received the full pattern down with hands up and all over that owl. 😳 The agent then said, “Never wear this to an airport again.” I surely will not. No sequins.

Good tips, some of them, but watching you speak is very irritating. Do you have to move your lips so much and in such a quirky exaggerated way? Unless you are aiming at lip readers or something, maybe you should work on it a little. Just sayin...

You’re so correct about the gate changes. It is critical. And don’t forget to turn airplane mode back off so you get the constant gate changes on your app! You can be at a19 and find out within minutes it’s now a3

TSA workers need to be better trained on their own scissors rule. Sissors can be brought in carry-on bags if they are less than 4 inches FROM THE PIVOT POINT. And not 4 inches long in total!

If the TSA has a key to open these locks, so do the thieves who work at the airport.

Airlines do a remarkable job getting us safely from to A to B. As an older man I can't even imagine the thousands of miles I've flown safely over the years. It therefore constantly amazes me how airlines continue with these gimmicks, dreadful food and uncomfortable seating which irritate the flying public. It's nearly like they do it on purpose. The working conditions for crew, especially the cabin crew is appalling but until people stop applying for these terrible jobs, pay rates and conditions will never improve.

I got my stuff stolen by TSA agents in Las Vegas airport. They kept my bag for too long and I lost it out of my sight a couple of times. I went as far as actually filing a claim- there were a few pieces of jewelry, not expensive ones, but they had a sentimental value for me. I received a letter from TSA asking to provide them with the photos of stolen jewelry and receipts, as if I knew they would be stolen, and took a picture of them and their receipts for that case? An insult on top of an injury, spit in the face. I check my wallet, bag and belongings every single time after TSA checkup from now on

I'm so upset by Delta at the moment. I wanted to use miles and dollars for round trip first class Houston to Edinburgh, Scotland. I was told I couldn't combine dollars and miles for first class! One way cost a bit over $7000! One way! I flew home with only one stop (instead of the 2 on Delta) on British Airways in business, which was way better than first class on Delta, for less than half that price. I now have over 169,000 miles with Delta. How can I get a decent first class, Houston to Scotland? Tips? Delta's first class was crowded, no privacy and no pad underneath me for sleeping. The central air was so hot everyone complained. And the flight attendants were talking and laughing all night. I arrived in the morning so tired.

You can also put the neck pillow sideways. You can also bring your own pillow, which I do on every flight because wherever I'm going I want to sleep on my own pillow.

Honestly this woman was annoying and hypocritical. Appearing to complain about but actually bragging about frequent use of the CDG airport. Not putting distinctive markings on her bento bag she shilled. Bringing her bottle opener which causes her issues but tells us not to do it (do as i say not as i do mentality).. This video gets 👎

I would say never take off shoes on plane. You might bother the person next to you. Before on a flight, someone changed their baby’s diaper in the middle of the plane. Don’t do that. Do it in the bathroom.

What a horrible rule these airlines follow. They're impacting the environment by doing this. Why not just allow the seats to be sold. People will buy those seats.

I like wearing a spirit jersey on the plane. It keeps me warm but not tooo warm. I don’t like to 100% cancel everyone else out. I can barely sleep on a plane at all. I’m nervous I guess because there is a lot of random people I don’t know on the plane.

Spirit jersey on top of sweats. I got a pair of Skechers light weight sweats for Christmas (2023) and I loved wearing them with a spirit jersey on top on the flight from Honolulu to Atlanta. I managed to get an hour and a half worth of sleep which is like a miracle for me. 😂

Bring jeans in your carryon to change into after you land. I recommend leggings. Just wear a shirt or jacket that covers up your butt.

It doesn’t matter how you pack, whether you fold or roll. It even doesn’t matter if it’s well organized or not, what matter is the WEIGHT of the baggage.

If they care a thing about environment, they should charge for slots if you use them or not and you get some money back if you give up your slot a week early. If slots become reliable there can be standby flights linking an unrelated location to the original flight. You create a Chicago to Paris flight out of an empty plane slot in Chicago and Paris going to places people don't go even domestic on the departure side. The airline may need to reposition the plane with tight turnaround, so they are forced to fly, if the turnaround is not tight, they should move to a slot at a less popular time. There are popular times because there are tight schedules on the other end for tours. Business travel wants to maximize time and maybe minimize nights at destination or start with a night to get started at the beginning of the workday with business activity, so domestic business flights before 11AM and 3-7PM are popular.

Wow, sounds like you put a lot of thought into this! If only the airlines would do the same. Safe travels.
