    As a descendant of armenians, I feel very sad to see the disregard for the country's history and the local railway system (not only here). It's as if everything had been abandoned...

    Would be better to see other side of Yerevan like center with Italian style architecture. And I thought to add that Caucasus is not just separate continent. It's Europe's Caucasus ragion as Scandinavian region is Europe's region. For example World Atlas Europe map, Relieve De Europa map (Relief of Europe) by Ecological organization of Spain (Ecología Verde) shows Armenia in Europe, Instituto Geografico Nacional España - Mapa fisico de Europa. In Belgium, Spain schools they teach South Caucasus in Europe (South Caucasus is given name by soviet) those three anyway are in the same region Caucasus and west Europe doesn't separate Caucasus into South/North, only in political issues. Also outside of Europe in Brazil's schools they teach Armenia in Europe. By EURACTIV MEDIA NETWORK(Belgium) they say: This *geographical misunderstanding was at the foundation of an EU plan to forge closer relations with its eastern neighbourhood, called the Eastern Partnership. When the initiative was launched in 2009, Europeans decided that a number of countries would qualify because of their geography - Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia* and Azerbaijan(topic - EU hesitate to recognize Kazakhstan as European). Besides that we are in Council of Europe member state (and more than 30 European organizations) which has a criteria the country should be wholly or partly in Europe for be member because Canada USA Mexico Israel Japan received observer status not membership...also member state in Europa Nostra, it's a cultural heritage organization...

    I spent 8 days in Armenia this past October. Walked through Kond and spoke with some of the friendly people living there. Also went to the St Hovaness church on the edge of Kond on Sunday. Many very religious people praying and lighting candles.

    I'd encourage anyone to look up how Dilijan looked around a hundred years ago before the Soviets fkd it up. It was really gorgeous and filled with traditional caucasian architecture, it looked a lot like the old town of Tbilisi , which was also built by Armenians, and Shushi in Artsakh. The Dilijan of today is still beautiful, especially around the Tufenkian complex, but nothing in comparison. Great video btw

    Is it possible for a foreigner to live in Armenia and find work? What kind of a monthly income would a person need at minimum to survive in Armenia? I enjoy these videos btw!

  • @NouraZahle
    @NouraZahle10 ай бұрын

    Last I heard it is very affordable. Some rent prices are higher than usual especially in Yerevan because of all the Russians who escaped Russian conscription. But that is an abnormality. Other cities and villages are much cheaper.

    Of course it’s possible as a foreigner to live in Armenia. First thing to answer your question regarding monthly income depends on the lifestyle you choose to live and where you are living in Yerevan or outside of Yerevan. At least to be safe $1,200 monthly you can get by on, of course this was much lower a year ago. In regards to finding a job depends on several factors, if you have any skills in IT for example you have a better chance of finding some work. However, many jobs require you to know Armenian, or if you can at least communicate in Russian or both, it varies depending on the company/ job.
