Living In Yerevan | VLOG | Afternoon Walk In Victory Park Yerevan, Armenia

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the channel Living in Yerevan. My name is Anthony Pizzoferrato and I am an American photographer who has been living on and off in Armenia for around 4 years now.
Armenia has become a big part of my heart and I would like to share it with you! The good the bad, the beautiful and not so beautiful. This channel is meant to not only share with you the history, culture and sights but also to build a community.
If you're interested in exploring with me, you've come to the right place!
Vlog 2 | Today I will be taking you through Victory Park, one of my favorite locations in Yerevan. The park was launched during the late 1930s as the "Arabkir city park", a district in northern of Yerevan. After the Great Patriotic War also known as World War II, the park was renamed "Victory Park", to commemorate the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany at the Eastern Front. I will show you the famous Mother Armenia monument designed by architect Ara Harutyunyan and contructed by Rafayel Israyelyan, military vehicles, monuments, as well as a Soviet era amusement park with a modern touch.
Thank you watching! Please like, share, subscribe and stay tuned for new videos in the future!

I first visited Armenia in 1987. I have returned on four occasions, most recently in 2019. I would highly encourage you to visit the Children's Art Museum, Abovyan str. 13. The museum is a branch of the Henry Igitiyan National Center for Aesthetic Education. The director of the museum is a talented artist named Armenuhi Harutyunyan. Some of Armenia's most talented artists like Tigran Tsitoghdzyan studied at the center during their early years. You can make a very interesting vlog by visiting the museum.
